    I would say definitely yes.

and thank you for making me look into this. heh.

  • After getting mad at google drive, I tried with dropbox until I was mad at them too..

I can find no way to set anything "public". Only shareable links which will allow people to download the files, but not view as html.

If anyone can tell us how, it would be much appreciated!

  • Is the on destroyed event the only thing creating more cheese?

    When is the cheese fading?

a capx always helps. there are many things that can't be seen on an event sheet.

  • Just found this:

    https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2881970?hl=en

which says "With Drive, you can make web resources — like HTML, CSS, and Javascript files — viewable as a website. This feature currently isn't available in the new Google Drive."

    Awesome, great! what an improvement!

    (sarcasm)

Now trying to find a way to go back to the old google drive...

  • On google drive, go to the folder, pick share, share it for everybody, then click the folder, right click the index file and pick "view with google drive viewer" which then pulls up an html file with a preview button at the top. hit preview and that takes you to the url. load that url from wherever.

Okay, that's how I used to do it. but this time, some message popped up telling me how they made something better, I ignored it (whoops!), and now the preview button is not there.

So I'm adding my question for the fine forum folks: where'd my preview button go?

  • See if this isn't more up your alley...

    I'm with spongehammer

    Something addictive about this place...

  • System | On start of layout (or whenever you need it)- Request whatever.json (tag "whatever")

AJAX On "whatever" completed - Array | Load from JSON string ajax.LastData

Really all there is to it...

Still having trouble, upload a .capx and someone'll help, i'm sure!

EDIT: oh, one more thing, and I'm not positive it matters, but it might, aside from the very beginning and very end, my JSON files don't use any of these brackets: { }, only these: [ ]

I think it might have to do with the setup of your JSON file...

see if this makes sense, starting at the word "data"

    "data": [[["x0"], ["x1"], ["x2"]],[["y0"],["y1"]],[["z0"],["z1"]]]}

at least, looking at some of mine, that's the format they're in.

    hope that helps!

  • You are correct, sir! and this post has a clever workaround, if you want to move between layers with different parallax:

  • Well, not necessarily, but just watching the scoreboard count up doesn't make me feel like I'm accomplishing anything. It just kinda loses meaning counting up nonstop.

Even if there were just a timer, and every time it hit, say a minute, it would knock the score up a notch, so technically, it's even the same scoring, it would just make me feel more like I earned it. I think both ideas, or even more would be great, points for blocking, points for hitting the cloud, points for getting 3 in a row, or combo points that increase exponentially.. anything!

Just make the player feel rewarded, ya know? I think that'd keep them latched on for longer..

    Just my thoughts!

  • Nicely done!

  • Yeah, well, Steam gets on my nerves...

To each his own, I suppose!
