sirLobito's Forum Posts

  • Same here, I don't get the post reply notification but I get the new releases one

    Me too.

I?m sending you an e-mail, Tom.

    Thanks.

  • sirLobito: sorry, but my english is not very good, what do you mean by "sleves" ? I'll check that asap. Thanks!

Your english is not what is bad, it?s mine xD.

I spelled it wrong, sorry Gorgonzola, I meant "leaves", tree leaves, hehe.

  • When I was looking at it, I saw that most of the people (when designing a parabola for a game) create a false bullet.

A (future invisible) bullets that goes straight to the target, and the real bullets calculates the path to combining with its own speed, friction, ...

I cant help much more, sorry :/.

  • Ey JohnnySix

Some weeks ago I was wondering about something like that.

I searched the web and after some time analyzing different mathematic formulas and lots of martian things (to me) like those, I change my view of the problem and get a solution. I can?t give it directly to you, but I can tell you (cuz mine is a very concrete example and is not adaptable for other projects) the way of getting it (very basic but it works).

The base is use the "three rule" ("regla de tres" in spanish, I don?t know how to translate this :S).

Knowing the factors you may know (power, speed, or whatever) make test depending on your game resolutions, and once the bullets hits a static point, use the "three rule" to get a custom formula that works in your concrete game resolution (sorry for my bad english).

The idea is that: is the bullets hits a certain static (at first) target with your desired factors, extend it to make it works.

You cant see what I got some weeks ago (taken directly from the devlog):

  • thehen, I said at the begining but, I want to reiterate: this game is brilliant.

Not only the art is awesome, the mechanichs and some puzzles are simply from other planet.

Its a really nice game, and one of the finest projects done with construct2.

  • gorgonzola3000, I can only congrat you.

I love the art, its really impressive, and spherical movements gives the game a unique touch.

Allthough it was very (very) difficult at the start, but once you get it, its really enyojable.

One thing Id improve is to make it a little bit faster, or maybe, make it faster and faster as you pass through levels.

Other little detail is that, if you are on the left side of the screen, and jump to the right (or simply jump, doesnt mind), the sleves make a little strange effect too: they go up with the screen, wich is not totally logic. Its a really stupid small detail, but Im like this, Im only trying to help.

Anyway, for me, its one of the most amazing games made with construct2 till now. Good work!

  • Man not to keep reiterating but this game looks so awesome. Great Job SirLobito.

If all the reiterations would be like this one, I would be the hapiest man on the world (well, Igotta admit I'm not far now ;P).

It's wonderful to receive feedback like this, you make me work harder and harder, thanks for such words :).

  • Oh, jajajajajaja, I realised it now! Im so stupid xD!

I thought about that, but I focused to the system option "compare variable" and ignored the "compare two values" ones.

This has been a stupid question, but I was mired, sorry, and thanks man, very helpfull :).

  • Thats what Im trying and my first idea, but I cant find that option.

These are the options I have if I try to create a webstorage based conditional:

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7026907/webstorage.jpg" border="0" />

No option for comparing, only for checking. Thats why my first question.

I thinks Im missing something. Um.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Hi guys

Im starting to use webstorage to save game options locally and things like that.

Ive been searching on the forum, and on the programm, but I think its not possible to do what I want, and thats why Im asking here.

Is there any way of comparing directly (as a condition) the value of a webstorage.local variable against something else?

Ive only found the option of checkins if it exists or not, so, I think the way is to store to a global variable if it exists, and after, compare it against what I want, but I dont know if there is a faster way of doing that.

Thanks for all your help men (and women, and animals :)).

  • Ey guys

Allthough it may seem, this project is not dead, and the lack of news is due to holidays and some big changes I?m making on it.

I?ve been thinking about the project during my holidays, and I?ve some new ideas that need hard work but they will make a much bigger (and replayable) game than what it is now, so, I only can ask for patience. And well, I?ve improved the main character design, so I?m redoing all the animations with more details and making them more natural (I think). It?s a hard work, but I?m liking the result.

As I said yesterday on twitter: sometimes is better to walk rather than running.

I?ll show something new "soon", I promise you.

    Thanks for being there.

  • Thanks Rory and

I'm glad you like my pixel-art, and more knowing thats my first pixel-art-something attempt.

The development is beeing slow, I know, but I think I'm getting somewhere and creating a quite complete game. Hope you like it when it gets released (or play it's future pre-alpha).

  • Hey there again, sorry to be here once more but, Ive fixed this particule related issue, and as I see there are more people with this (or similar problem), Id like to explain what was my problem.

Finally, is not nothing related to graphic driver or construct, it was related to the browser, Google Chrome.

After checking what version I have, I realised that I have a version with the "dev-m" extension, wich I dont know what is, but I suppose is related to a developer version or something like that.

Ive unninstalled that version (Versin 25.0.1349.2 dev-m), gone to chromes webpage and downloaded the lastest version, and now, Ive 23.0.1271.95 m (not dev-m, only m), in wich everything seems to works as supossed to for now.

My girlfriend installed Chrome on her user (but oriented for everyuser on the computer) some weeks ago, and wow, it seems like shes got a secret developer life, jaja.

Sorry for this topic, it wasnt related directly to construc and its last release.

    Thanks for everything.

  • Graphics are really nice, and everything works very fast. Nice start!

Ive a question: how do control the trucks shadow? Manually? The result is very good, instead, I think you should apply a similar effect to the truck inner shadow (maybe with another sprite?).

    Keep the good work man!

  • Ey there.

A new update has come, see it on the first page :).
