  • Thanks for the reply, I did simplify my example so I think I will still run into problems. I do know the syncing is one way, but I didn't mention that each player is choosing their team, so the host absolutely must receive this information before assigning it. There is also a variable I added for character selection which the host cannot randomly choose.

Is there maybe a way to have a peer join the room, the peer then sends these variables to the host and is temporarily saved by the host...the host then creates the peer, sets the variables, and then finally syncs?

  • Before I start, I would like to mention I have gone through all multiplayer tutorials and read through other multiplayer threads on the forum, however I have not got this to work.

My steps so far have been starting with the top down multiplayer example. I added a variable on the character called teamID. This variable starts as zero, but before the player joins a room, it is assigned a 1, 2, 3, or 4. After connecting, however, the host immediately sets it back to zero.

I have looked at the other variables in the example and tried to mimic them, but for some reason still does not work. Each player will have their own variable, which all other players will see. What steps would you take to implement this?

  • I do not know if you are interested or not, but I sent an email :)

  • I got an answer, but there is currently no free slots anymore..

Ah darn! I am surprised to hear that, as they just told you they are still taking applications.

  • I wanted to also mention that there has been no answer, however, I do see that someone played 2 games in my portfolio.

Maybe someone tries a couple of games, and either instantly says "no" or they then send you to someone higher up for a closer look. :)

  • I'm not 100% sure, but I think a game could be either clicker or idle, or can be both. This game isn't even technically an idle game, because it doesn't change based on the amount of time passed between game sessions.

  • Swipe to spin the spinner, click to make the spinner jump and smash the matching colors. Collect stars for bonus points.

  • If anyone were interested, the game has been updated to make it easier to complete each level...it's a little more forgiving

  • Simple and beautiful, nice!

Thanks for the kind words! Did you submit a game? I will check it out Actually, I will try to check out as many submissions as I can when I have the time.

  • How will the winners be decided? Is it simply the top 3 games you see when you click on Construct 3 Game Jam? It seems like those who submitted early last week have an advantage, as they were featured on the front page. I'm not complaining for my game...I see lots of good games that deserve to be in the top 3 that will not be able to move to the top 3 because of the advantage. Many good games seem like they will remain "Under Judgement" because they won't receive 200 votes. When I have a little time, I will go through and play everyone's game and give a rating, I hope that will help a little.

  • 3 seconds is a puzzle game. You must collect all the dots and get to the exit in 3 seconds. Collect clocks for more time, avoid hazards, and teleport with the portals. Time moves only when you move. Enjoy!

(I may have posted this in the wrong place originally...)

  • Nice game man!!! I like the graphic style you have , simple and slick , it would make a good touch phone/pad game too!

Just saw your reply (I haven't logged in here in awhile). Thanks for checking it out! Your kind words mean a lot. I will check out your games soon

  • This caught my eye, because I'm working on something very similar...not quite the same though! I enjoyed that you took a simple idea and followed it through to completion to publish on Google Play. I think that's the best method starting out.

I liked the simple graphics and gameplay. I also liked the button icons...clean and professional.

A couple of criticisms: I think the dot should get up to speed faster when I touch the screen...you know, accelerate just a bit more quickly. And then when I let go, I feel like the dot should stop quicker, and not keep sliding as much before it stops. Maybe this was intentional, so you can certainly keep it the way it is. But, I feel that I would be more in control if these changes were made.

I also wanted to mention that on the settings screen, it says Comming soon instead of Coming soon.

    Good job, though!
