    Sorry for reviving this old thread but I wanted to ask you how you managed to get the DefaultControls.txt array looking so neat

    Specifically it looks like this

    38,Up;
    37,Left;
    40,Down;
    39,Right;
    32,Run;[/code:2b97tpo2]

    How do you even Load/Save as this format? arrays that i save have all the JSON code at the front.
  • Well for starters:

    Construct 2 is developed by a staff of 2 people in London

    Unity is developed by a staff of "300 employees from 31 different nations, working in 27 locations"

    But besides that, HTML5 is the basis of Construct 2 and it has only been around for 2-3 years, its still a very young markup language where as unity is based on c++ which has been around since the early 80's

  • Possible that the wrapper you used to create the apk has it on by default, try exporting it with a newer version or a different wrapper?

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I havent tried with android but for node webkit i added the browser object and triggered the close function

  • Just throwing out another method instead of destroying and recreating.

    Set the player as invisible, set its health back to 10, disable its movement and set its position back to the spawn, then enable and visible on keypress

    Your game has assets from Pokemon, Hatsune Miku, My Little Pony, and uses imagery of the sea shepherd organisation.

    That is just what I recognise, Nintendo would probably only ever respond with a Cease and Desist, and if they ever put it up on their store they would themselves receive one from Hasbro, Crypton Future media, Yamaha and the Sea Shepherd organisation.

    End of the day DialgaBrite, its really not an issue using ripped assets for personal games, but once you try to put it onto a digital storefront (Paid or Free) it becomes a legal issue

    GG-Works

    In the case of Construct 2, you submit this form to nintendo https://wiiu-developers.nintendo.com/signup/

    Once and If they reply accepting your game, Scirra will give you the Wii U plugin, most likely under a Non Disclosure Agreement so that you can export it for the Wii U

  • Its a pretty strange error dude, you might have better luck if you post this in the Bug forum

  • Hey dude,

    So you are probably already aware that the old Duke3D/Hexen/Doom games were called 2.5D or Psuedo-3D engines

    Heres some Theory on the idea https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/534/pseudo-3d-games

    Its not ideal, theres no mouse rotation, but its a start

  • What version of Construct 2 are you using? try playing with a stable release or a beta to see if the results differ

  • File > Export Project

    Scroll to the bottom and you will find "Node-Webkit"

    Choose a folder somewhere to save it to, when its finished exporting you will find the following folders

    Linux32

    Linux64

    osx

    win32

    choose the operating system of your choice, or just burn all to the disc.

    Exporting to node-webkit creates an executable for your game that is stand alone so it does not require a browser or such to be installed

  • Had to download r170 to check out the example, but i understand it now, thanks for the help!

  • Yep, just bought the stand alone copy, woo!

  • Hmmm yeah, even though theres a $12 difference between the steam and stand alone, i just remembered i cant log onto steam at work due to ports being blocked and the wifi being as stable as a wet donut.

    Stand alone it is!

  • Unfortunately I still cannot get it to deactivate, heres two event sheets i tried out.

  • Hey all,

    Going to buy a personal edition of Construct 2

    Its cheaper for me to get it on steam, but I am just curious to if its updated as fast as the stand alone copy?

    Thanks
