  • i overwritten all my scml files + the scon files with the latest version of b8.

    when i import them, some of them import just fine and some give me an error "cannot find an existing spriter object using the scml file "...." .check you have imported ...."

    at first glance the ones that do not import are the ones that had a 2013 save date. i do not know if this is random or has something to do with it.

    the ones i have worked recently import just fine.

  • just export from within spriter your animations as png's.

    you can even say how many png's/sec (frames) you want it to create.

    so there is nothing to be afraid of.

  • you have an expression under animations "compare current time".

    does this has DT pre-programmed inside it like all behaviors have in C2 or i need to add it my self?

    i need the animation to spawn an objectt if

    current time is >1390 milliseconds

    current time is <1405 milliseconds.

    sometimes it does not spawn the object and my guess is that is has to do with the frame rate and dt.

    and if i have to add dt how do i do it in this situation?

  • i want to apologize.

    i was tired and my mind was probably on stand by mode and i forgot to put it under a "trigger once",

    so it was firing constantly.

    this morning with a rebooted brain ,i saw my mistake and corrected it.

  • i gave my scml file the "flash" behavior.

    when it is triggered the whole animation disappears for a few milliseconds and then it appears again flashing as intended.

    any idea what causes this disappearance of the whole animation?

    just remember to keep it simple!

  • if enemy overlaping player then set enemy platform behavior inactive

    is not overlaping then set platform behavior active

  • maybe this fixes your problem?

  • it will not work only if you have another event in your code that sets animation 1 or 2 in other conditions.

    so the system checks every tick the code and cancels the above that i told you .

    example

    if "right" is down play animation 1

    if "left" is down play animation 2

    so every time you press right and score is larger than 5 instead of animation 2 it will play animation 1
