  • i am not quite sure i understand what you want but i will give it a try.

    either

    'button' is in touch

    trigger once.......................... play spriter animation.

or add a boolean instance variable to the button named 'punching'

    button is touched

button 'is not punching'............ play spriter animation and set 'punching' to true

on spriter animation 'punching' finished ........ set 'punching' to false

  • install in your project the browser plugin and then add an action that requests fullscreen on start of layout

  • Try Construct 3

  • no it uses cpu and gpu only when they render from my understanding.

what i said above is that imagine 10 instances of your enemy all going left and right with your cellphone trying to animate 200 png's per second for each!

so although when they don't animate you don't use processing power you will face another problem with many different png's.

because mobiles at the moment load all assets from all your layouts at startup the cellphone does not have enough ram and it either crashes or it exits.

there is yet no layout by layout loading.

so the more png's the more stress you put on your cellphone when the game starts for the first time.

  • Maybe install directx 9 on your system.i had the same problem before installing it.For some reason node webkit is dependent of dx9

  • the more frames the more png's so the more stress for your gpu to render them every tick.

So yes depending on what platform you are aiming at might have a very big impact in performance especially if you have many instances animating 200 png's each.

now if you have an i7 it wont make any difference but try this at mobile and you will see what i mean

  • For some reason i do not like the pin behavior.what works for me every time is to create an imagepoint for your sprite where you want the other object to "pin" and then use

every tick----- set position to another object imagepoint whatever you want.

do not use this code underneath "on start of layout" just use it normaly as an condition.

and do not forget to go to the second layout properties and assign as an event sheet,

the event sheet you have.i believe that is the reason that it does not pin.

  • powerful laptops are so heavy and produce so much heat that are unusable if you want to carry them around.just buy a desktop and a windows 8 tablet and keep some change from not buying apple.

    just my 2 cents.

  • First of all you should see the eyefinity AMD technology.I have 3, 27 inch IPS monitors using this setup with an almost 6000x1080 resolution. (with bezel compensation)

2 monitors are not recommended because everything that pops up from the OS will be in the middle so portion of it will be between the monitor bezel.

For a 2 or more monitor setup i would not recommend a laptop. It will run very hot and when you are in battery mode you would just kill it.Buy a desktop with a r7 or r9 AMD card and if you go to the 3 monitor setup don't forget that you will need an ACTIVE mini display port to hdmi or dvi.if you don't want to go to this trouble then you should buy the Sapphire brand with FLEX technology.

You need to see Contruct 2 working area in an 1.80m long monitor. it rocks!

  • the "math"he is using is just a fancy and easy way for programmers to do their job fast and efficient.to be honest this is not math.it is just basic programming principles that you have to learn in order for you to able to do anything a bit more complicated in the future.to encourage you, when i first started i was just staring at the screen but with effort you will become a million times better.he is just using 2 global variables, assighs them a number and then he deducts one from another.it is really that simple.yes you are right .webgl is not supported for example in windows xp anymore from chrome.try a bit harder and if you get stuck i will be here to try and help you.

thank you sir! your kind words motivate me to work harder.

  • jhice

Thank you for your info.It helps me to get a more clear view of my project.

Unfortunately these video hosting sites do not support 60 Fps playback .this is the reason i think that he seems so slow during playback. And also the game runs much smoother on a pc monitor. To be honest i always got irritated by heroes wearing helmets and armor that they could run like Bolt! .And mind you that my hero is strong but a bit chubby But i will take this into serious consideration , i will change 2 lines of code and KAZAAM .He will run faster and he will tween faster!

As for the music it was just something i found on the net just to create a trailer.Music composition will start in a few months.i thought that would suit the game better than a heavy metal theme that i always wanted to put in there

  • Hello, this is the game i am working on.I hope you like it and any feedback is much appreciated.

  • i am not quite sure what you want exactly but....

    try

    If player X > enemy X ---------------- player set angle to anglelerp(self.angle,135,3*dt)

If player X < enemy X -------------------player set angle to anglelerp(self.angle,-135,3*dt)

feel free to change the number for it to rotate faster or slower

simplicity is bliss in programming! :p

to be honest i had spend quite some time trying to figure this easy little thing by my own so please share the knowledge!
