  • A friend of mine wants to create a set of master and client apps that, allows the client app to see how many items are in stock, than if they order it, communicates with the master app and store that order. The master app will have the ability to update the total of stock remaining on all the client app. But it must also be able to communicate with each of the client app individually, to let it know individual stats like total sales and commission for that client. The master app should also be able to create new client app accounts, and delete any old ones.

I am confident of creating all the basic functions of the app, but I have never tried any networking with C2, so I am not sure if the master - client architecture that I mentioned above is doable or feasible in C2.

I have to mention that I will be paid for this so I need to do a proper job for him. I will have a timeframe of roughly 2 - 3 months to do it. What is your honest opinion on this?

  • Hmm...I've always used letterbox scale with no issues. Creating the objects according to screen width and height shouldn't be the issue, it might have to do with the scaling because I'm sure everyone here creates object midway in games as well and we all use the some method to place them. Give me a day, I'll try and test it out.

  • Sounds really interesting! And the prize is really nice!

  • Thank you! I appreciate that No, actually I am using cocoon.io. Canvas+ gave me a smaller file size, but it didn't draw to the screen correctly. It drew everything as though I were on a bigger screen, made everything small. When I chose Webview+, everything displayed correctly, but unfortunately it gave me a bigger file size.

That's weird. I'm using canvas+ with no issues so far. Not sure how big of an effect it will have, but a smaller apk size might be a little more attractive? I'm not sure if I would be of any help, but I would definitely try. You can tell me your project settings for C2 and settings for Cocoon than I'll take a look see.

  • Nice concept! It looks so interesting that I installed it. Just a question though, are you using Intel XDK? Because 26MB is pretty big for a simple puzzle game.

  • Haha oh yes it annoys the hell out of me when I am in the zone and moving at a fast pace, and I have slow down because of it. Can't believe it had taken so long to really notice it. +1

  • The problem is your sprite. To overlap properly just like a real jigsaw piece would, it needs to have its background transparent. Your sprite's background is white, which is why this happens.

  • which had transformed

  • It is stronger than your friendly neighbor warlock, but not as strong as one punch man. Haha in all seriousness, all the things you mentioned can be done in C2 and any other engine. It all depends on which program helps you work faster and more efficiently. Try them out, than decide which is best for you.
