  • Ok so I was able to figure out how to make a transparent background in the sprite editor but now I'm a little more confused. When I use the fill tool around the background of the character it gets rid of most of the background but there's a small layer of background that isn't transparent. What do I do?

  • I know that in the sprite editor you can go around the character and make the background of the sprite transparent, but is there an easier or better way of doing this? I have trouble trying to make the background transparent because they don't have a magic wand tool which would basically just select the background and make it transparent. I know I can do this Photoshop, but for some reason when it comes to inserting said character, I still get a white background, and not a transparent one. Is there an easier way to do this?

  • Should I make a new layout titled "cutscene?" Or should I try to incorporate it in my current layout right now?

    Also....how do you go about doing a cutscene? I'm really confused on how to even go about doing it.

    And lastly, is there a tutorial out there that helps you learn how events work in Construct 2? Because I get hella confused easily on what to even put in events. Like I look at some of the people in the forums and I am extremely confused on what it is they're talking about or saying.

  • *If it helps I have a spritefont that I'm using to help with hitpoints coins and flowerpoints*

    So here's what I need help with, how do I set up the hitpoints where it's in this format (n stands for number): nn/nn? The first 2 n's are how many hitpoints the character has currently and the last 2 n's are how many hitpoints the player can have up to? Same format applies to flowerpoints.

    And then I need to have a way to count all the coins the player collects

    Can anyone help me?!

  • Is anyone having troubles trying to download the Sprite Font Generator? I already have Sprite Font + downloaded, but for some reason I can't download the Sprite Font Generator.

  • I wanna load some artwork for the HUD. So 3 questions:

    1. How do you load it onto the Layout?

    2. What code would you use to make it add or subtract hp and fp (fp = flower points)

    3. How do you make it static so that everywhere the player goes it's not moving with the player...it just stays in the top left part of the screen?

    I have artwork for the HUD done, and I'm also using artwork for the font as well. To give you an idea of what I want (Look at the first photo):
