• Looks good, nice work but that Dead Space badge is a liability...

EA would pursue any use of it's IP, that's how they make their money.

And by selling games for ?5.00 more, without a manual...and trying to kill the used game market with DLC required games...and by releasing the same game each year with a different number after it....luv ya EA

  • , Three years on and you have kept the passion ,burning, credit to you, that's probably your most difficult hurdle overcome.

The game looks brilliant graphically and looks like you have attention to detail covered...

I agree there are many survival horrors out there, few are good these days, The Resident Evil series has become die hard with "zombies" even Silent Hill has lost it's fear element...Slenderman is the only game in the last few years that got it nailed, for me.

I think for true scare gameplay you need to be looking back to classics such as Siren (PS2), clocktower (PS1), clocktower 3 (PS2) and of course the original Resident Evil and Silent Hill games,on PS1.

I'm sure I'm telling granny how to suck eggs, but just my thoughts...

I been rambling...You obviously pricked an interest here..

  • I have to agree with Dave on the last animation, I've heard of great balls of fire...but never, nipples...

  • Thanks Tom, job's a good un!

  • RandomExile result!, I was thinking it was just us few that noticed...

  • These near miss, corrupt save stories always give me the goose bumps!

Only thing I can think, that is worse....is no Construct 2 at all !!!

<Add dramatic timpani and horrific scream here>

Just recently, in fact, I had the misfortune of more important things to do...

The day started, like any other, I woke at the keyboard my screen saver casting light on last nights pizza...

I needed to be in work within the hour, worse still, it was a Wednesday, would I ever get that quick draw badge?...

Leaving a "Me" shape pattern of crumbs on the chair, I headed to the bathroom...

Eight long hours ahead of me, the Scirra cog of ideas, rotating, tormenting....

Maybe someone should do a "You know when you have been using construct 2 too much" thread..

  • JoyfulDreamer I did notice severe Framerate drop when I destroyed a few trees at once...

  • JoyfulDreamer That's really impressive, The perspective feels right, and it runs nice and smooth too.

  • Would yours be the 40% less shiny version of Mine?...

Seriously though, adding the use of families into an existing project, can be a bit of a pain, due to the family variables hierarchy, it should be worth the effort though.

  • Venivididormi I think this could be caused by a large texture being loaded or CPU intensive process, happening.

Also consider other applications calling the system resources in the background...

    We need a

    "if framerate Burp" Condition ....

  • That's unlucky, and I can understand you being a little peeved, but the tweet is 7 days old, how soon is soon?

I guess no matter when a price offer comes up, there will always be someone who just missed the boat...

I do think some bonus assets, tshirt, sticker pack or similar token gift would be a good idea, in situations like this.

  • beufreecasse I just played your game, nice work!

I moved this thread to the website issues on RandomExile 's advice.

lemo Find references would be a great feature, and I'm hoping they will be added via the regular update process.

This is a light hearted vote and nothing is at stake here, but I don't see how using a debugger is lazy practice, it has many uses, fine tuning positions of objects, timing of sounds and events, to name a few.

Anything that makes the editor and ultimately any project made in construct 2 more robust has to be a good thing.

  • If this is more of a token gesture, then I would keep it simple.

Approach her with the amount of work you will need to finish the game,

decide how many hours work it will take for 100% of all the artwork required to be completed, add this up at $25.00 an hour, for the total to be payed...

Ask yourself is that reasonable value...

If so, pay in segments on work completed ie full tileset 30%,full characters and animations 50% ,full menus and GUI 10%...that way you will only pay when you receive and the motivation is still there for her to complete.

Stick to it and don't get soft, there is nothing like people to mess up your day...

You can undo with the image editor window open (multiple times) by pressing the back arrow, in the main editor...I only recently discovered that too!
