  • These are great, thanks for posting...

  • I love these, they all have a very solid and consistent look to them, for low poly models,I personally think the detail is fine...

Is your work all 3D models, and is it free to use?

  • I doubt anybody will abuse their licence conditions to do this for you...

I suggest get a licence and then you can experiment as much as you like...

  • The memory usage will be based on the texture, that being the image size in your image editor...

  • The tiled background's simplicity, is why it's so efficient...

Maybe a new object altogether..."the tiled sprite"

  • janroth check out "8 bit boy",large Mario style platformer, made with C2 has a good solid console type feel to it...

  • So lets assume you use classic and make a great game people want to play and even pay for...(hope you do)

To start with, It would take at least a few years work to come up with a Mario sized platformer, after years of effort and time you have your completed game in Exe format...

Even if you initially started this for fun and had no intention of selling it, by this time you will consider it has value ??

It will only ever run on a desktop PC, and then someone will ask if there is a version for android or maybe Mac...I guarantee at that point you will wish you had used C2...

As you say, most large projects on Classic have been either abandoned or ported to a different engine, this is telling you to use C2...

  • The ghost shooter example bundled into C2 is a good example of this...

  • Ok, oh well, no problem...

  • Ps right clicking once in the system comes back to space

  • Ok I have come up with something, not exactly like your example but it's what I thought you wanted, I quickly knocked this together so, It won't be the only way to do it, and sure there is a more elegant way, but it is easy to work with being able to graphically change each system without any hassle...

run the capx and click on a system to see the planets in that system...

after doing that a red highlight square appears over each planet allowing further interaction (needs adding)...it may help jog some ideas of your own or a base for you to work on...or maybe no help at all??...it would be more efficient using scaling rather than the large sprite I used but this was just for speed...

  • ok I have an idea, I will get back to you soon

  • Do you mean the set up or the placing of doors?...I'd have thought an array to set levels up would be the way to go, or even multiple pre built layouts for each "map" with rooms sprite having doors at different positions in different frames...

  • GeometriX and JohnnySheffield

Thanks for clearing that up, good to know that standard HTML5 security is not compromised by C2 and node-webkit...
