  • Thanks, GenkiGenga! The animations are based on Muydrigde's studies and are kinda smooth. We'll be polishing them as soon as possible!

  • Unfortunately no. We're developing for a old school bundle and the bundle creator asked to be a .exe, so we're using Construct Classic.

    For the next project, we want to use C2 and our newly bought Spriter.

    P.S.: You just made me realize that I posted in the wrong forum session =/

    Kyatric, how do I take this post to the right place?

  • Hello guys,

    My brother and I are starting a small and modest game studio here in Brazil, called Double Dash Studio. I'm here posting about our current work, the Soul Keeper Project.It is a remake of our LudumDare#20 entry (dev log) and the first project for the current crew. The project as it is now is almost 3 months old.

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7967934/Misc/Preview/Screen%201.jpg" border="0">

    Soul Keeper Project is a platform puzzle/adventure game. It happens on an ancient temple, where an explorer loses his son inside the temple. The kid was attracted by an unusual artifact. On first touch, the artifact unleashes a series of mechanisms that slowly drains the boy's soul. The artifact protects the main char, shielding his soul from harm.

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7967934/Misc/Preview/Screen%203.jpg" border="0">

    As an explorer and as a dad, you must use the artifact to stop the mechanisms. The gameplay mainly focus the appropriate use of both his body and soul.

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7967934/Misc/Preview/Screen%202.jpg" border="0">

    Although his soul can not be harmed, his body still can die. The player must be careful when using his body and quick when using his soul. As the game progresses new abilities are unlocked.

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7967934/Misc/Preview/Screen%204.jpg" border="0">

    The series of challenges aren't enough to achieve the harmony of body and soul. To achieve perfect balance, one must face his past and forgive.

    We are open to comments, thoughts, suggestions and especially constructive criticism. We really want to get better, so please, share your thoughts.

  • it's nice to see that the sprite jumps out from the canvas! If planned right, it can be a good surprise =]

    nice job, Pode.

  • Arima

    Wasn't quite what I was looking for, but it's nice too! That inheritance layer will help A LOT our current project in CC. Thank you very much, Arima =D

    I was actually looking for a way to add blank layers (but with the same properties) on every layout at once. Usually I need to add some fog or effects layer on top or in between existing layers.

  • Hey guys,

    frequently on my projects I have to add some layers at the middle of the development. It's easy when you are working with 2~5 layouts, but when you are at your 20th layout (about 15th or 17th stage) and you NEED that awesome feature that claims for a new layer things get complicated.

    I know I can create whatever is in that layer by events (that's how I do now), but if the layer don't exist you'll need to create it. Adding and setting a new layer for each layout is an ungrateful task...

    It would be nice to have one or more Master Layouts. If I needed a change that applies to some layouts I would just change my master layout and voil! All layouts are based on that master layout would change. Be in the order of the layers, creating a new one or the exclusion of an old layer.

    Is it hard to do? Would a plugin be able to do that? If it is, can some of our plugin devs do that? If it isn't, can Ashley put this on the list of future features?

  • Congrats on the funding, Lucid!!

    I'm a backer and looking forward for the c2 plugin and procedural animation (I really hope the funding extends that far!)

    Awesome job you two did there =]

  • great example, Era! Congrats!

  • Awesome material, Noise

    I've fav'd it and will be repassing for sure!

    Great work!

  • Ops, I searched for it but find nothing. Can someone erase this topic then, please?

    thanks zenox98!

  • Guys, I just found out about this. Have you ever hear about Three.js?

    Acording to their site, "the aim of the project is to create a lightweight 3D engine with a very low level of complexity in other words, for dummies. The engine can render using <canvas>, <svg> and WebGL."

    I know Construct is not aimed to 3D development, but this site shows some interesting features, expecially for third party devs.

    Hope you enjoy it =]

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Many thanks to all that had played. And thanks for the kind words in this post!

    One of the topics of the briefing was to merge the game into facebook's background. I guess your comment shows a little backfire on that aspect xD. I don't know if I'll be able to change that =/

    Well, I'm too happy with the results of this project. The comments were quite nice, the access on Pank Design's facebook page skyrocketed (up to 400% more accesses) and this project opened a few new doors for me.

    I'm a brazilian game developer and here is quite hard to make a living with games. Thank you Scirra for existing and Scirra's community for being so awesome and helpful. I'm too lucky to be on this community since Construct Classic and see all the amazing updates.

    For me, every update is like a little christmas present.

  • Hello there,

    This week I finished a game I was doing for the brazilian graphic design office Pank Design. The game is Pancho, el cacto atirador (Pancho, the shooting cactus), a lunch-time-sized mini-game.

    Pancho is Pank Design's mascot.

    <img src="http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/373923_311540438869777_125523024138187_1179971_1583034346_n.jpg" border="0">

    Game in facebook. You don't have to be logged to play, only to share.

    The game was done in 3 days, by only 2 people (me and Estev?o Sarcinelli).

    The goals are simple:

    • pop as many baloons as possible
    • the clock is the timer
    • panktone baloons give you points
    • poping the right panktone baloon will give you more points. The picked color is showed in the card above Pancho
    • white baloons are just nice to pop, but give no points
    • orange baloons rewards you with a few extra seconds

    Don't forget to tell me what you think about the game! If you like, please share and help me keep doing this games <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle">

    Hope you enjoy the game!

  • i'm having the same trouble. I made this test for practice.

    I'm having trouble accessing back the score from facebook. Don't know if it's publishing correctly too.

    I did Tom's Facebook Tutorial.. Followed Ashley's hint here too for the score's display.

    What's wrong here?

  • thx Zenox098

    that's the sprite I told about. Don't know why it had no properties, but deleting it solved the problem.

    I don't even know who I added it oO
