  • Just solved it.

Seems like a sprite had it's image corrupted and I forgot to delete it. When I deleted it the game worked again like a charm.

I'll try to find something similar in the other project too.

    Thanks anyway!

  • Hello Scirra people,

I'm having a recorrent problem when updating C2 on the mid of projects.

I was in the middle of developing process. I was using r68, but the latest release (r69) came and I update c2. The update was done in this morning.

Then, when I tried to run the layout for tests, it didn't show. Instead it showed this message.

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7967934/Scirra%20Help/Screenshot1_1.GIF" border="0" />

It happened once before, when I updated from r65 to r66, again in the middle of another project.

Someone know what can I do to fix this? Shall I downgrade C2 to r68 while in the development of this project?

  • I just realised I never responded this post.

Thanks Kyatric! It's a lot of work but works well. In time, this will be much easier =]

  • Thanks Zenox98!

For this project this solution worked, but I have 2 other projects that don't. Sadly, one of them is not mine and the other I can't show (contract issues), but I'll try to reproduce the bug on another file that I can post here.

The curious part is that on my project I couldn't even see the loading screen. On yours I saw it. Then I switched back to mine, applied your changes and could see the loading screen again! Really odd...

For now, I'll pay a lot more attention to my splashscreens xD

    Thanks again =]

  • Hello scirra community,

I'm doing a game with my team, but we are having a hard time importing layouts from each other's pcs. Why split the work between people, so one got level design and other got into the programming stuff. Now we have 2 layouts (one with the level, the other with the code) and we are having a hard time turning both into one layout.

We saved both projects as "project folders" (for collaborative development).

Is there something we're missing here?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • In that case, I guess you could compare the actual time when the building start to be built and set the finishing time to that starting time + building time.

That way doesn't matter if the game pauses or not.

But keep in mind that players could cheat changing their own pc clock.

If you could compare to a web clock somewhere, this would be avoided.

    Anyway, it's just an idea.

  • And by the way, my brother will and some of the guys from Aduge (Mnemons) will do workshops using Construct Classic in this national meeting. The site for the meeting is this one but is in brazilian portuguese.

Hopefully, the Minibosses (Talbot's Odyssey) will be there too. =]

  • Hello guys!

I'm in the organization of a studants national meeting. For the opening of the registration period we did a little animation. We decided that it should look like 16 bits, old school videogames and so. Better than that, we would make an classic videogame and record it from the screen.

And for making games, nothing better than Construct (I used Classic). Except for the initial video and the splash and ending screen, all was done in Construct (I know the splash and ending could be done in CC, but we had a very short deadline).

As for the video, you can see it here: Super N World in Anima Mundi.

As you can see, we are between Anima Mundi's finalists!! We didn't expect that this should get so big! That's why there's no credits (not for Construct, nor for ourselves oO) but we'll get them there as soon as we can edit the video. For the Anima Mundi, if we win, we'll say the credits in our speech.

If you like the video, please vote for us and support another use of this great engine!

Thanks to you all, scirra community! Your tutorials were part of this!

ps: sorry about the rusty english.

  • I didn't even got to test the build 40 oO.

    That was indeed fast!

  • Animations, man... I'm still waiting for those.

  • Arsonide, this is amazing! It opens a whole new world of possibilities.

looking forward for the release of both plugins. They're awesome!

    Congratulations on the great work.

  • Construct Classic sounds so nice.

I'm glad that I'm watching all your growth as amazing programmers.

    Congratulations, Scirra Team!

  • HAUHUAHUHAUHUA

    PWNED!

  • I'm still waiting for the animations..
