    I would say that yes, Ms should have a free os available, especially since they are planning on stopping support on Xp soon.

    The most widely used os ever on the planet.

  • The process is pretty straight forward. For the editor you make a grid of canvas instances, then drag and drop the textures you want onto those instances. When you are ready to save you do a for each on the canvas's, and paste the texture into the canvas, and then get the base64 string, and save that to either one big string with tokenAt(), or use an array.

    Then to load the textures, make a grid of tiled background instances, load the array, or string from the editor via the load array action, or from ajax.

    You would then parse the array, or sting, with a for each in array, or for n = token count of the string.

    Loading it from the string value as the load image from url action.

    The string from the editor would be huge however, and you would want to do some optimizations like only saving one texture once.

    That's a lot of tiles.

    Might think about using the tiled background object, unless you're planning on having tiles clickable.

  • Well its not like you can run Mac os on any thing other than a Mac.

    So in that regard its not exactly free.

    Then again nothing is ever free.

    With Linux you pay for it in time spent learning to use the system, and you can bet Apple will continue its yearly hardware updates, that are technically years behind in technology, ....at a vastly higher price.

  • Pretty sure that wont work in the engine, but even if it did, it really wouldn't add much functionality.

    I mean suppose you want two different object to fire on the same trigger, you would just add actions for both objects in the event trigger.

    The usual method is to go at it from the front, and use an instance variable to pick the instance.
