    At first I thought: the first green areas are a bit empty, but I think I should not see it as empty but as an art-choice. (It's a strange world, you feel alone)

    Music (especially intro) is nice.

  • I was wondering if there is a known problem with background music on Chrome for Android (I believe I have Jellybean).

    I can turn down the volume of sound effects, but not that of the bg music. (in IE and chrome on desktop I could get the volume down)

    I tried: on start of layout: play bg music looping at volume -9 dB.

    -20 dB

    -30 dB

    -90 dB

    These options did not have any effect on the volume of the bg music in Chrome on Android.

  • Question: I was wondering what would be a good and clean way of detecting a change.

    Situation:

    Game has 5 rounds.

    When a certain action is achieved, an action adds 1 to the variable "roundnumber".

    Goal:

    Start an event when roundnumber changes.

    Own thoughts:

    The game already has an action where the round number gets a +1-action, so I could use this event.

    Or:

    every tick: check if roundnumber =/= currentround (= variable as well)

    If true: set currentround to roundnumber (start any event, as this is a trigger to a change of rounds)

    Question:

    But is there another way?

    How would real programmers do it?

  • On top of that, making a tutorial -at least in my case- had many situations where tutorial code conflicted with previous code. I have to manually place objects, enable/disable controls etc, which makes me write messy events.

    I have had the same problem as Windwalker described.

  • I am using a none-standard font. And while testing I added multiple text objects with standard font.

    Is it possible to change all text objects' font without have to create actions for every text object?

    Or all but one? (I may use one, or in the future more, text object with a different font)

  • Perhaps by using the dictionary action "delete key" or "clear" (remove all keys)?

  • In Construct I have selected the "Impact"-font.

    When previewing on my computer it shows the font, but when previewing on an android device, it shows a different (standard?) font.

    I want to try this tutorial: https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/237/ho ... -web-fonts.

    But should I view the Impact-font as a web font, since it is standard available in C2?

    Am I going to try the right tutorial?

  • I am looking for general advice (a good practise) about how to implement a scoring/points system in your event sheet.

    For example:

    • make a "scoring" group and insert here all (if possible) events that have to do with accumulating points?
    • afer each event that blows up a spaceship or jumps on an enemy place the events: show score + add points to score?

    Wait updating until the project is finished, or always update to the latest stable version?
