    Hi there!

    So the issue im having is weird but i think it might just be a built in safety net for stuttering???

    Here's what's happening, i have button that you press to start the speech recog listening.... if i say something like "long long long" it will either give me 2 longs or 6 longs! on pc -- on latest android i consistently get 2 longs.

    this is an issue due to the fact that my project needs to be able to recognize multiples of the same word in succession ... red red red or yellow yellow yellow

    any thoughts on how to get around this?

  • The Construct team is looking for ways to stay afloat without losing quality engine support and the animate product helps that.

    Looking for workarounds is rude.

    I dont feel that a work around inside the engine using a plug in is rude...

    Im simply trying stay within the engine and not having to spend another $60 a year on a program that would for me be a 1 trick pony ... I have been using construct for over 10 years and it has served me well.

    Ashley any chance on maybe a purchasable plug in to support video export in C3 for timeline only projects?

    i know that you can do this in CONSTRUCT ANIMATE ... but seems like actual C3 you cannot??

    I looked around for a plugin (no luck) ... for years i guess i just assumed that the full priced product included everything in animate.

    any insight, work arounds, etc would be great!

  • StudioMercato the main thing i missed was having my console set correctly,

    in the article there was a link to setting up the sandbox, but i skipped over it cuz i ASSUMED it was just going to tell me to download the app, install it, and show me how to switch to dev mode. (like every other article had done).

    so moral of the story is.... DONT ASSUME, WHEN YA DONT KNOW! lol

  • I actually had already followed that tutorial, but since you re-directed me there... i figured i would give it another go (at a reasonable time of night) and see what happens....

    well ... turns out starting from scratch and doing it all over again.....STEP - BY - STEP ... nice and slow was definitely the key to success!!!

    I am trying to deploy my game to the Xbox one and I can't seem to get it to work. This tutorial seems like a great way to pair the device with the xbox. However, When I push run, there is no pairing option it just gives me an error.

    mammoth in vs2017 im having the same pairing issue, it never asks... did you ever resolve this issue? In vs2015 it popped up when "require authentication" was set to universal, but in 2017, im getting nothing.

  • FYI I'm using VS2017 with C2, so that's working fine. I've given this tip to numerous people, but maybe the reason the .sln doesn't open is because of the target SDK version. Open the .jsproj file in Notepad, search for <TargetPlatformVersion>, and replace the 10240 with whatever SDK you have installed (14393, 15063, 16299, etc.) Make sure to leave the last number at .0 so it becomes 10.0.16299.0 etc. You can leave the <TargetPlatformMinVersion> at 10240. Save the file and then try to open the .sln in VS2017 again.

    I keep getting this error when trying to deploy my c2 game to my xbox one

    (ive tried both vs2015 & vs2017 with same results).

    DEP6953: Failed to launch remote debugger with the following error: 'Command failed: 0x800705b4'.

    game runs fine when i test it on the local machine setting but when i try to deploy to console...no luck!

    i have tried debug as 'release' hoping to bypass the debugger but that didnt help.

    i have tried ctrl+f5 to start without debug, and that didnt help either.

    any input or help would be appreciated!

    nevermind ... i found it in the creators collection, had to search as it wasnt showing up in the games list (any idea why?)

    also, couldnt play ... couldnt get the game to start

  • The catch is with any fullscreen scaling the image will still be the size of the screen.

    If you use the paster or canvas object you can do this instead:

    1. A snapshot is done

    2. The image is loaded into a Sprite that covers the view.

    3. That Sprite is pasted to a paster object that is positioned to the spot you want and with the image resolution you want.

    4. The paster.imgUrl expression will give a base64 URL just like the canvassnapshot expression to save the result.
