  • Just my opininon.

I think it is better to focus at the positive and not the negative as we are taugt by the media.

There are problems but there are also strenghts that our HTML5 C2 carries. I think it is a quite transparent engine with honest goals and vision towards the future!

Let me pitch another idea. A lot of talk on performance was focused on final exporting/publishing stage. What about first steps? Ashley; I think a direct scripting access would offer a completely new dimension to C2? What are your thoughts on the subject? (imagine construct editor with additional underlying scripting editor - gamemakers valhalla maybe? )

  • People, would you be willing to post a link and a 3 sentence review of your favourite classic games and what can we learn from them?

  • A bit young but I remember the machine everybody talked about - c64. No one had disks however as they were too expensive ...

Elite dangerous is an interesting topic though. As it will be made by the gaming paradigm shift people ;)

  • Jayderyu: as in music the term is commonly abused. It is easy to just clasify stuff in a couple of cathegories ... dont you think?

Tulamide: exactly! You took me on a memory train just there. The famous C64 was before my age but I remember my brother fiddling away on a local Atari. It was magic. C64 was the object of ultimate desire and even though I was too little then, I cherish C64 to this day. You could really grasp the techology back then - from hardware to software... and create - of course games :) - Maybe a similar feeling can be found twaking and exploring a Raspberry PI nowadays. Raspberry project really helps put technology in perspective and provides study matherial - thats what matters. OK enough memories :)

Exactly as you said. software technology is advancing and "middleware" really helps to get your hands on it :)

  • Read an interesting blog entry by Robert Fearon. It has an nice angle on "indie revolution".
