  • No, they still won't play..<a class ="scratches head too"></a>

  • Hi,

I was cool with that bit, i wasn't sure where the keyboard object was..LOL

  • Hey guys,

This is doing my box in! LOL

I'm sure i have not missed anything this time but my sprite still won't play.

There is only one graphic contained in the various animations but that should still be displayed right?

  • First ensure all your movements are set to different animations

Sorry, but where do i set that up? I looked everywhere..LOL

  • Hi,

Some of my animations i have created consist of upwards of 50 images, uploading them one at a time is a bit of a hassle, is there away to upload them en mass and have them automatically added to a new frame?

  • I thought it was just me.. <img src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • But how do you set the animation for each different direction?

I have my character running right by using the "Platform on moved" event as per the tutorial, but that just makes the same animation run no matter what direction i send the sprite!

Do i need to actually give my sprite obect (platform object) a 8 point control behaviour too?

  • My mistake, i didn't have it set to loop and was missing the animation..LOL

  • Hi,

I have read through some tut's but i still can't figure this out..LOL

I have added a sprite and given it "Platform" behaviour and added the other image variations such as walking right, left, jumping..etc as additional frames.

Now how on earth do i get my animation to run? Do i need to set up an event list?

  • Try Construct 3

  • Getting the same problem, trying to change grid height, not working.

  • I see what your saying. I have created a 64x64px wooden crate image and split it into four parts, i'm rebuilding the crate so that when it is destroyed it will break up into it's component parts.

I can't think of any other way of doing it really..

  • Hi,

I have given a sprite a physics behaviour but for some reason it passes straight through sprites that have the solid behaviour!

My solids and physics attributed sprites are all on the same layer so i'm a bit confused..

How can i set a sprite with physics to sit atop a solid?

  • Layouts act as levels, a layout can contain any data you like. To go to the next level you might for example set a condition whereby when the goal is achieved you simply load another layout by name.

I think, iv'e only been using Construct a few days.

I'm sure a Pro will chime in and help you out further.

  • Hi,

Is it possible to copy events from one event sheet to another? Rather than having to type it all out again?

  • Cool, i am using the "platform" behaviour now and it's working, as in falling down and stopping when it hits another sprite, but i can't figure out how to make it bounce up a few times before coming to rest!

    Any ideas?
