  • Yeah use RGB colour 255,0,255 and you can flood fill transparency in the picture editor.

    Thanks. No demo soon. I've played with graphic styles for a few days but the stuff in Construct was done in a few hours. Currently getting ideas down on paper instead of buzzing around in my head.

    Glad the video is OK for you, it still doesn't like my system on Firefox though .

    Video of a little game I've just started. Video plays OK for me on IE but is stuttery in Firefox, anyone else have the same problem?

    First 2 screens are me playing around with how to present the stats and the games hud. I'm currently leaning towards the top screen, right hand side with the stats next to each character. The game, when I get the gameplay ideas more streamlined, will be a bit like Dungeon Keeper mixed with a Tower Defence game.

    Won't be playing it for a while with my track record I'll either abandon it or it'll take forever.

    Layout 2 is the one with the basic AI driver, it also uses custom movement instead of the Car behaviour.

    I haven't tried out the Path Plugin properly but I'd guess it's a lot easier/better than this example, which was made before the Path Plugin was released.

    BTW - cap was made in 0.99.82

  • Hello everyone. Long time no speak - Damn Final Fantasy 13 that game should have a goverment health warning.

    OK so I wanted to make another game quickly and went through some of my old .caps on my hard drive and found a little prototype I made ages ago, so I've expanded it into a small 20 game called Memorized.

    Memorized is a Platform game that should hopefully challenge your platforming skills and your memory. The basic gameplay is simple. You are shown the level that you have to complete for 5 seconds, then the level is made invisible and you have the tools to draw where you remember platforms and obstacles to make it to the level exit on each of the 20 levels.

    Controls

    MAIN MENU

    Arrows up + Down = Highlight Menu Option

    Spacebar = Select Level Option

    LEVEL SELECT

    Arrows = Highlight selection.

    Space = Select level.

    Q = Return to Main Menu

    GAMEPLAY

    Arrows = Move character

    Space = Jump

    D = Kills character (so you can see the level again if you're stuck).

    Q = Quit level and return to Level Select.

    Left Mouse Button = Draw into level using 'Green' pen.

    Right Mouse Button = Draw into level using 'Red' pen.

    Shift & Left Mouse Button = Erase any part of your level drawing.

    I'd be interested on how far you can get and if there are any bugs.

  • Personally I would do the check when a collision occurs between an NPC & the hero, why check if the hero is above an NPC that is on the oposite side of the Layout.

    Layout 2 uses the custom movement behaviour for car movement. Also Layout 1 has a bog standard AI driver to race against.

    Try go through the gray door at the start, yellow square is the key.
