  • A script to add shapes would be out of my skillset I think :( Especially as it seems tricky to line things up in Q3D

  • From what I've played around with, you can use the physics with Q3D and have cylinders, cubes and spheres.

What you can't do is load in a 3D model and use the shape of the model for collisions.

I can import my 3D track but it only lets me set the shape as a cube (flat)

  • I started a test in Q3D - Shame it cannot load in the colliders of a model too.

Basic shapes might work but its pretty tricky to work out how to load / place them into the scene.

  • Hi QuaziGNRLnose

Is it possible to help get my Q3D updated? I found my old order invoice but didnt get a login link emailed before. I believe it was done on PM here but they have now been removed so I can't find it

    Thanks,

  • I've added you on skype but no been online at the same time yet

  • Currently in open beta on Google play. Give me a message if you'd like to test / join or use the link below.

    Current games:

    • Traffic control - Swipe to control traffic lights and keep cars moving
    • Clay Shoot - Clay shooting range
    • Block racing - Simple but aggressive top down racing
    • Race - Isometric time trial
    • Dodge - Tilt / Drag your ball to avoid all the others

I also have a bmx, skate, space and some more concepts to add in the coming weeks

  • You could set up with a database, although I don;t know how to do that.

If its score - you could use google play services, or you could read / write to a google sheets as a database. I've done this last year for an app to save and load in data when completing a form. If you are on Skype / Discord I can help - it needs a little setting up with google sheet scripts.

  • Thanks ZHawk

Once I've tested a bit more I plan to move it from beta to release (just fixed the problem with clay shooting high scores)

My idea was to test some concepts, get some feedback and use that to focus what to work on. I have a few other apps to add to the betabox, which I'll do something like one per week or two once it's released

    UPDATE:

All released on the store :)

I downloaded the old example start of this thread and get an error back saying "Error: Invalid key provided" My app using PEERJS also has this issue. Are you able to help?

I've replaced the runtime file in my plugin with the one in the link but can;t get it working

  • There are a couple of ways to publish for Android and there are tutorials in the construct 2 release page:

Id you have Skype or discord I can give you a hand. I use Cordova CLI to build and although a pain to start with. Once you get used to it and setup something like a prompt text file its pretty quick and easy

  • I had them setup with just the solid behavior. Since this post I have moved to physics based and much better results. I just need to work out how to get better handing / drifting :)

  • rexrainbow - Sorry to dig up a very old post.

Just found this and it worked great for some top down racing AI.

Any idea on how to improve the collisions with it? (Not so bouncy)

  • I setup a simple project with the construct car behavior. It runs pretty decent, especially for the effort. My problem comes when trying to have other cars and collisions. If you bump a car, even at slow speed the cars bounce very erratic / not realistic at all.
