  • The problem I had was getting the cocoon.io compile working when I put in the cert and provisioning profile. The compile errors showed problems with the provisioning profile and I'm sure it was probably something I was doing but I ended up just double clicking the xcode file output from cocoon.io and manually entering the provisioning profile and cert in the Apple Developer console. I spent all day messing with the certs, key chains and provisioning profiles. First time to publish on Apple but hopefully the next time will go smoother with my current method.

    Good luck with your game.

  • Only a few hours.....I've been at it all day! LOL

DId you ever get this done? I just got my app uploaded to the ios app store and can help you if you still need help.

  • Colludium: Thanks for that suggestion.....it worked perfectly for the problem I was having.

  • Nice work and great price, thanks!

  • R0J0hound

    Great. Thanks for the suggestions.

  • Ah okay that makes sense. Now I'll see if I can figure out how to make it go on indefinitely. Thanks.

  • Very impressive examples. I watched the ski terrain demo long enough several times that it eventually got to the point where the terrain pretty much goes vertical. I was wondering if you knew what causes that.

  • Try Construct 3

  • I do the domain check for games I want to only run on my sites but with distribution anyone can download it and install it on their website. I don't really worry about someone who wants to hack it as you really can't prevent that if someone really wants it. That said, it is too easy to change out logos and branding with them just sitting in the images directory.

  • Using text as you described would be a good solution for what I'm trying to do. Thanks!

  • Distribution would be by email or by download. I currently get emails about HTML5 games I can download for my site. I haven't verified it but I assume they have some protection to keep people from easily changing the assets.

In the past I've distributed my games via flashgamedistribution.com and also by making games available via downloads from my sites. Again, I'm not looking for any heavy-duty copy protection just something to make it not quite so easy to replace/remove certain images.

    Thanks!

  • In the past I distributed my Flash games to websites and didn't worry too much about security. But with HTML5 it seems it would be very easy for anyone to remove or change any logos, links, etc. So what is the protection model being used to distribute Construct 2 HTML5 games? Specifically I'd like to know a way to distribute the game without someone being able to easily replace the logo in the images folder or remove the "More Games" button and link.

  • Thanks, glad you like my site. Mostly Flash games now but slowly getting some HTML5 games going.

  • Jomo,

Thanks for the help! I gave the Dialog module a high rating the other day as it is a great tool. Once I complete the game I'm using the dialog in and put it on my site, mathnook.com, I'll post a link.

    Thanks again,

    Tommy

  • Hi Jomo,

I'm using your CutScene Example and am very happy with it but would like to add a "Skip Dialog" button. The current dialog I have takes the player to the next level when the dialog completes. With the "Skip Dialog" button I'd like the player to go immediately to the next level when it is clicked. Of course I could just add my own button in but I'd like to use the existing button creation and tween effect like the "Restart" button does in the sample cutscene. So I was wondering if there was a simple way to add this in to the e_CutScene_example.

    Thanks,

    Tommy

  • Done.
