  • Thanks guys,

I appreciate the help but it still doesn't work. It is probably some mistake in my event sheet or something so I will find it out.

  • I was thinking the same thing but then in the level selection menu I ran into some problems...

I use a sprite with 4 frames for the stars, frame 0 is no stars, frame 1 is one star, and the same with frame 2 and 3, and then I made 9 instances of that object but now I have to figure out how I can get my score per level to save the correct frame of that sprite

I have a level_score variable that checkes if the score beats the level highscore and than 10 highscore_level variables for each level but now I am trying to figure out how I can get my highscore variable to be saved to the instance of that level

  • Hey guys,

I am building a game with 10 levels and for every level I want to be able to get 3 stars based on the score. Is there a good tutorial online or method to do this for a beginner?

    Thanks

  • Hey guys,

Is it possible to get the speed of a physics object?

For example, the speed of a falling object or the speed of a object that get hit by another object and then change direction? I only want to return the speed (in numbers if possible... like pixels per second for example)

I am not sure if this is even possible...

  • It works quite well. There indeed a little bounce but that is not a big deal.

Thanks again, you helped me alot!

  • Try Construct 3

  • It's a physics game so I don't know if the platform behavior works well with the physics behavior?

But I'll give it a try! Thanks Asmodean!

  • Hi,

Is there a way to find out what the impact of a sprite is when it falls down and hit the floor? or the speed it was moving just before it hit the floor?

  • Hi everyone,

I'm building a game where a canon shoots a dart, and you can aim the canon with a sliding button.

The aiming process works fine and I used both the "apply force at an angle" as well as the "apply impulse at an angle" actions, and they both shoots the darts at the angle my cannon is pointing in, with the force I needed, but the only problem is that after I fired the dart, the dart is always aiming in the direction my cannon is aiming in. Even when I rotate the angle of my canon and the dart is on the ground, the dart is still rotating in the same direction.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

  • Hi everyone,

Does somebody know how to create a trail on touch (swipe), like in fruit ninja, but then the trail shows up more like a wave than like a straight line?

I don't know if this is even possible...

  • Yes, the touch has to be on the screen.

Okay, thanks Plinkie! That sounds like a good solution, I will give it a try.

  • hi,

I have a problem where i want a sprite to move left and right by touch.

The idea is this, if the sprite moves to the left, then by touching the screen (doesn't matter where on the screen) the sprite should be moving in the opposite direction (180 degrees), and when the screen get touched again it should change direction to the left again (and on and on).

I tried this with the bullet behavior and the 8 movement behavior but it doesn't really work out so far.

  • Oh wow, I can't believe I missed that part xD

I don't know how it got in the wrong directory as I've used it a few months ago, but it works now.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

I have two plugins installed in construct 2 that used to work a few months ago, and now when I open construct 2 I get an error message that says:

"Unable to load plugin in 'filepath\plugins\lunarray.litetween\':

Found 'GetPluginSettings' global, but it is not a function

This plugin will not be available in the editor."

Does anybody know why this isn't working anymore?

I have the latest update in C2.

  • Thanks, i'll give it a shot

  • Hello to all,

Im making a game where I have to fire a cannon. I want my cannon to increase the firepower when I touch the screen, and then fire the cannon by releasing the touch. The cannonball is physics based so the longer I touch the screen, the further is flies away (by impuls I guess).

Does somebody know the easiest way to build this?

Thanks and have an awesome day
