  • I think this is already fixed for the next build, as per the other thread.

(BTW, this is why we wrote a warning on the r100 release page about ensuring you have backups set up. Set up backups now if you haven't already!)

I have plenty backups - but I did get a little worried there. I guess it a risk you take when using beta versions :)

It seems to be the same problem and only occurs with "Save as". Sorry about the post then.

  • Sorry about that - thanks for the link

  • Whenever I try to delete an animation frame in Construct 2, it crashed and closes down.

  • The problem fortunately only occurs when saving to a new location where the file you are currently working on isn't present. Or in other words when Construct 2 has to copy all the files to a new location.

So if I copy all the files/folders to a new location myself and open it and make changes and then save it (same place) it actually works.

In other words, it's the "Save as project" function and the "Save as single file" there is the problem.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I tried to save to another drive, dropbox etc.

Doesn't work. The save file is almost empty. This is on a 330 mb project.

I also tried save as single file - didn't work.

This is 500 hours of work... So I am a little bummed out.

  • After about 24 hours of use - R100 can't save...

    This is the error:

    dl.dropbox.com/u/4759481/construct2.png

I have tried to reinstall, but that doesn't work. This is really a terrible bug.

  • Here is the error:

    dl.dropbox.com/u/4759481/construct2.png

  • I got the same problem now. It doesn't save all the textures.

  • That is awesom(ium)

  • Thanks Ashley.

I have contacted Awesomium staff about the performance issue and hope others will do the same.

I look forward to hearing about more on the webstorage issue.

  • I agree.

Do you know if the webstorage feature is going to work in EXE exports? I would really like to get some clarification on that if possible.

I genuinely think the Awesomium license is not a problem at all. In practice it is rare you will need to pay anything, and if you do then it will be a fraction of what you've already earnt, much like Construct 2's Business license.

Have you made less than $100K? Then no worries, you do not need to pay anything.

Have you made $100k? Then congratulations, you are already an incredibly successful game developer! You now have two options:

    - if you have one game, buy a single commercial license, which is only 2.9% of the income you've already made

    - if you have multiple games, contact Awesomium for a site license which allows unlimited use in multiple commercial applications. This is likely more expensive, but still probably a fraction of the $100k you've already made.

If you have made $100k you are most likely overjoyed with your recent success and paying a license for the technology that got you there is probably not going to dampen your spirits! I struggle to see how making $100k can be interpreted as a problem :P

  • Another good point lokesen... It still seems a bit silly to have it per game, but you probably won't be pumping out desktop-worthy games by the hundred every year, so it's not that big of a deal.

I agree on the "per game" thing too. But it's probably not a real issue in the real world scenario. Hope they change it to "per game" making 100k. That seems more fair.

  • Sorry I missed that

But it works. I had to make some changes to make it work - but in the end it was worth the 20 minutes I used!

I probably spent 10+ hours on trying to make it work in previous versions :D

  • How would I go about doing that?

I already got my system working with webstorage - but I am open to changing that if I knew how to. Is there a tutorial on something like that or just similiar to that?

  • Maybe you don't even know about it... But it sure works for me!
