  • hello again,

this is understood... but these two things only check if there is a collision or not. they dont tell me if 3 sprites are connected/matching...

    this was my question!

    stefan

  • Good evening everybody,

has anybody a good idea to check for 3 matching sprites of the same type that have collisions with each other?

It is no problem to check for 2, but for example if you have already placed two sprites of the same that have no collision and next place a sprite in the middle with connection to both... how can I check that there is a connection of 3?

Sorry for my bad english, I hope someone can help me. The goal is a connect 3 game, like there are many in the web, but non in Construct 2.

    Please help^^

  • Hello,

have you tried to change the collision-polygon of the paddle, in this version it is just a box... give it some angels or cut the corners, than you get more control over the ball.

    Look here for an example

    Enjoy coding...

    Stefan

  • Hello everybody,

    small changelog for today:

Padel-Collision-Polygon has now round corners again; to give you more control over the ball (thx to GenkoGenga for the information)

Pixel-Rounding is activated now, I hope it will improve the collisiondetection...

    Have a nice evening

    Stefan

    • improved collisions
    • less extra balls
    • more levels
    • random particle backgrounds
    • solid blocks
    • local highscore
    • countdown to extra ball
    • pause function
    • random levels (just for the beta-version)
    • and a few more...

I hope you all enjoy the game and feel free to give me feedback...

    Stefan

  • Thx for testing so far...

I figured out some problems with the glitchy movement, the collision polygone was not a sqare at the blocks and the walls. So it will be terminated in the next version.

And GenkiGenga: I will pick up that INSERT COIN thing - very good idea!

See you after the weekend with an improved version...

    Stefan

  • Thx for testing,

the "blurry"-look should make you think of 80s, thats a little retro-style... but the particle-thing is a good idea.

    Stefan

  • ToDoList:

    1. Highscores

    2. More Levels

    3. Less Extra Balls

    4. More Bonus Items (Laser etc.)

    5. Different Particle Effects for every Level (or by Random)

    6. Fade Screen and Wait between each Level

    7. Solid Blocks for complexer Levels

    8. Level-Selection (when accomplished)
