• Haha - good point! I will give him a little more speed in water maybe. Going to see if I can add currents/water flow into it somehow, a bit like the water zones in Sonic.

Did you get the turtle airborn?

  • Levels are getting quite big now!

So far still have to add back enemies, power ups and the like.

You can do the zapping move up and down now, just hit jump/crouch while in air to get an extra boost.

Adding in Toxic waste, not sure whether to make it a power-up or just deco.

Here's an overview of level 1

  • I generally create all assets from scratch, music/sound/animations, however if you search the boards, there are quite a few free packs and resources if you don't.

Scirra offers some packs for sound fx and sprites/layouts on the site with the downloads for Construct 2.

  • Just wanted say again, this is a wonderful plugin and adds so much more polish to games!

If Tom or Ashley are around - I heartily recommend adding support for this to the arcade ( or perhaps official support in Construct 2? )

I've just noticed every project I'm currently working on uses it, so it is currently impossible to add them to the arcade.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • haha. The dog game is awesome, the concept is hilarious, as is having -3 piss. :D

Some special moves like doing cartwheels while pissing for bonus points would be cool!

Starting again from scratch on the animation front - managed to get swimming working! :D

Don't play if you suffer from motion sickness!

  • Added more stuff - running jump, attack move, pain, damage, death and destruction.

  • Here's progress - working on improved movement and zoom

Click image to play. No boss or enemies yet, doing the whole thing from scratch to allow for more scope with mechanics, the old events were somewhat overcomplicated.

    Updated link, now has swimming!

Also added health and damage back in, but no death as yet.

Walk under the dripping green goo, lose health, jump in water, gain health.

Turtle now adjusts to angled walkways also.

  • You have to kill then end boss from above, press space to zoom out if not already (I've not automated the zoom yet) climb the ladders at either end then do the jump/crouch attack on his head, with luck you'll bounce high enough to get back on a platform.

  • Necro-bump - put it in the arcade rather than leaving it to wallow on the hard-drive.

  • Sweet! Thanks!

  • Sound work now?

I followed the advice in this thread -

    http://www.scirra.com/forum/r91-music-file-not-loading-in-firefox_topic52703.html?KW=%2Ehtaccess

  • Hmm, I'll ask my host if I can do that, didn't know it was the server causing it.

I made a new version ( I guess Chrome only for now ) - increased the range of notes playable/quizable and added in the extra lines for notes outside the usual 5. I tightened up the graphics on level three also, as the extra notes required more space.

  • AH , thanks! To the cgi-bin folder?

  • I need to reinstall FireFox/IE - I'm loading m4a/ogg via the audio element :

  • Looks good. Your server isn't set up for .ogg files though so no sound in Firefox.

How do I fix it? Do I need to set permissions on the files? I just exported and uploaded, didn't know I needed to change anything.

A catastrophic fail if you can't hear the sound!
