  • Wow, this is giving me a headache. I am disabling the correct platform instances.

    It seems I'm having trouble getting the thing to recognize when its on a platform in another dimension.

    I have an event set, where the conditions just gets either completely ignored, or partially ignored, depending on the arrangement order.

    Seriously, It runs the actions, but ignores the conditions for those to be true, so its always true. I have tried making an "else". ...nope. but it does stop the Trigger Fall from infinitely spawning.

    Ive tried to use System>while. the game doesn't load at all...

    have some pics for reference and another capx. To better help anyone...help me...or anyone else with a similar problem.

    The way I have the dimensional platforms set, Each dimension is a family.

    Global variable is 0 for dim. 1 and 1 for dim. 2 Solid behavior is set by the family instead of individually.

    When global var is 0--Family 1 is visible, family 1 solid enabled, family 2 invisible, family 2 solid disabled.

    When global var is 2--Family 2 is visible,family 2 solid enabled, family 1 invisible, family 2 solid disabled.

    I had to re-up the capx, I forgot about the notification plugin I'm using.

  • I'm working on a dimension change style.

    In dimension 1 the scenery is one way with some platforms visible, in 2 the scenery is another with different platforms visible. I set up persistent blocks specially designed for the dimension change.

    Change dimensions with q and e.

    That part works.

    Issue: When changing dimensions, and if platform the player is standing on goes invisible and non solid...he's still standing there in empty space until you jump or move off. Not very challenging and looks loony toon-ish. I have tried to set up: if player is in dimension 1 and standing on dimension2 scenery, then player moves up 1px(and hopefully falls through).... doesn't work. player keeps going up and up like I made a loop. hmm.

    any ideas on a fix anyone?

    I love RTS... i have one aswell in plan... but i have like 35 FPS playing with those 5 soldiers in your demo in FF !!??

    (my PC 3GHz quad xeon 8GB , SSD, GF660TI 2GB)

    I know im late, but the reason the guy below you is getting better framerate with an i5 and a lesser video card, is because Xeon processors are built for servers. Thats about all they are good for. They are built specifically to serve data out to other machines while doing basic software functions.

    I hate to say it, but you could drop in a 2.6 core 2 duo and get better framerate. Also quadcores are still abit over hyped unless you use software that support them. Windows 10 is supposed to have a new "force multi-core" mode, so maybe people can get their money's worth.

    WOW. The speech Recognition system is really...crappy.

    I say "run right" it hears "Railroad laugh". @wut.

  • My chrome supports it. cube and all. Running a core 2 extreme 3.0, quadro 560, 4gb of ram, win7 x64.

  • Hey everybody! I just happened by this thread and thought I would share my project "Grave Prosperity" with you guys. This game is very much about the graphics!

    The project is coming along nicely, so hopefully soon I'll have a demo out!

    Hopefully a decent storyline and great gameplay to go with too

    Looks great! reminiscent of resident evil and another game I can't quite place my finger on.

  • lol, use google maps as background for a top down...anything. Tower defence/racing ect...in your neighborhood.

    A fps using streetview with enemy models and destruction overlays.

  • I can't see it. Not sure why chrome isn't showing anything except a black screen and the adjustment options. I wonder if this has anything to do with why some capx from others don't work as expected on my pc either.

  • Lucky they told you right. I was going to say "metro" but...yeah, flat shading is better I guess.

  • You need to have ssl (https) enabled. I tried the 000webhost free hosting before, sadly it doesn't come with ssl. Thats something you have to pay for. Also they are crazy slow. For fb apps you actually have to shell out some cash at some point. Its for security reasons for devs, fb, and the users. There is currently no reasonably cheap or free way to get it. Self signing doesn't work either.

  • hmm. surprised at the lack of people working with speech recognition. I figured since google can do it, people would be on that like white on rice.
