  • Have you checked your layer backgrounds and made sure the bottom one isn't a black background?

  • Have you looked at my capx...?

Because I do chain (and spawn for that matter) one color at a time, in the event sheet - but I'm not entirely sure that what I've done, is what you mean...?

About particles spawing; what would you suggest as an alternative to spawn/destroy them...? Or did you mean to decrease the number of particles seeded/spawned for each "explosion" (this I wrote a little about under my section "Performance" in OT...)

I know its not a complete game yet, but i guess 1 click shouldn't destroy them all, so limiting by clicking on a red only destroy chained reds, could give the game more dimension. Maybe another option is to make the circles smaller

Yep I saw that performance section. it looks cool to use a particle that spawns a particle object itself but it probably sacrifices too much performance.

    Only suggestions nice work!

  • Good start, maybe chain 1 colour at a time. also maybe reconsider particals spawning more partical to improve speed

  • Depending on the game, you could load needed images in ajax and keep the project light.

  • As a customer I hate subscriptions. Subscriptions are also tricky for 1. existing users. 2. short term licence holders that publish a game - does it mean they are not allowed to profit from their game when their subscription ends?

  • Does dropbox allow you to view the html file as a real html page? If so it'll work. If not, then find another way to host the html page.

Have only the version number in the file, don't use html markup tags. Easiest way is to make version number int or float.

Use the Ajax Object to request the url. And convert the retrieved value into an int / float and compare with the current version.

  • Try Construct 3

  • For each sprite, spawn a text object, and set it's text value. Then for the text, set x to the sprite's x and then set y above it slightly to position it.

As yonda said, pin it if these sprites are moving and you want to keep them attached.

  • Double click on the sprite, add "Set origin and image points" and add to both ends of the lightning segment.

On the sprite add Behaviour > Pin

This way you can move one and move the rest. Then on each branch of the lightning rotate segments of the lightning

  • Is it the same game you already released on google play?

  • They keep getting better and better, can't wait to see #90!

  • Yes! The first time I created a game in flash about 8 years ago at school, it just ruined the magic to some degree for all games after seeing the code and canvas, I still love games and developing them is fun, but now I do have to find a really good one to really get into it.

Totally. One more reason to illustrate the importance of Indie Development and understanding self publishing.

thats a very good article, thanks!

  • Hi.

I have the same problem, no response to show in Construct.

Here are my PhP and my Blocks :

    Thank you for your help.

    Have you tried for debugging

    1. set tDebug1 to your request url to make sure tbPseudo.Text is correct and not empty

    2. Entered the request url in to a browser and does it display anything?

    Edit: Nevermind
