  • Blacksmith yes i meant that. I worked fine until this new update. Now when i compile it, it just gives me the default arial. Maybe they fixed it if it worked for you yesterday. The last time i tried was a couple of days ago, right after the release.

  • ludei is there any way to use custom fonts at this moment? it used to work with .ttf fonts until the last release. now I tried both this and the use of webfonts but nothing seems to work. any help?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • If I disable webGL in Construct it fixes the tileable backgrounds but not the font issue.

  • Two things on my side. Tiled backgrounds leave a pixel long line between the tiles and custom fonts are not working anymore. I had a normal ttf font in my project to style some labels and now it doesn't work anymore. Worked great in 1.3 :/

  • cjbruce did you manage to solve or work around this problem? I'm also trying to import or open photos on iOS but it doesn't seem to be a solution.

  • Ashley is there any way to use the CocoonJS Camera extension? That seems to do the trick watching the demo but I have no idea how to integrate that in Construct.

  • I wanted to integrate the camera support with User Media in Construct but it doesn't work. I see now that CocoonJS does support that with its camera extension (which works great in the Video Puzzle demo). Once i export the game from Construct, how do I integrate the camera extension? If it is even possible.

  • Is there a way to load an image from the device? I mean a way to access the iOS Camera Roll during runtime?

  • Pode and Savvy001 would this work on a mobile device somehow? Since there is no way to drag and drop something over it. Would it be possible to load an image from the device?

  • thehen it seems that it doesn't work anymore anyway. Just got a response from Ashley saying that UserMedia is not working anymore for CocoonJS and that it was working for a while in the older versions of Construct as an experimental feature.

  • Ashley thank you for you answer! :) At least now I can move on.

  • Steps to reproduce:

    1. instert and setup a normal layout with user media or use the webcam example scene

    2. export to cocoonjs

    3. load project on any iOS devide

    Observed result:

Unable to start any project that has a user media object.

    Expected result:

Being able to access the device camera. It used to work on pre R120 releases (at least it wouldn't crash the app)

    Browsers affected:

    Chrome: no

    Firefox: no

    Operating system & service pack:

    Windows 7 x64

    iOS 6

    Construct 2 version:

    R132

  • thehen tried. it doesn't work on iOS. At least not in the latest versions of Construct.

  • thehen how? did you use 'User Media' from Construct or some workaround?

  • Me again. Exported the project again with the old version of Construct and this time the camera works. With 'works' I mean that I can access the camera, but I cannot take a screenshot with it. When I try it gives me: Exception loading Image: Exception: IllegalStateException: Error reading the '272 bytes' block of the given '/private/var.....' file path.

I still don't get it why it doesn't work at all in the new versions of Construct.
