  • szymek - we are investigating the Crosswalk performance issues. I most cases, users come on here and complain, but do not provide any relevent info. What we need

    1) Device testing on

    2) OS the device is on

    3) APK to test

  • That's really odd. If you can get it in a state like that again, it would be great if you could zip the folder and send me it so we could test it. It may have been a permission bug on a folder. Glad you got it work though!

  • puzzele - Which OS and OS version are you on? I'm not seeing this on my Windows 8 virtual machine

  • We do not have a hudl2 . If you can hook up your device and get the log from ADB/Logcat, that will give us more info to look into

C2 won't export to Cordova if I set fullscreen to off.

New XDK has no option for Crosswalk v11, just v7 and v10. XDK's new press release says 'updated to Crosswalk V11'.

    ...?

We are working on getting that support out. It's independent of an XDK release, so you should see it as an option in the coming weeks (hopefully)

  • After update I can't build with VersionCode that I specify... The system (Intel XDK) always returns version 60000 (Updated "versionCode" to "60000") but I write version 7 in the build settings... someone is experiencing this issue?

I've this problem after update... so I can't upload to Google Play.

We are looking into this issue. The bug was introduced last week on the Cordova builds only. I will let you know when it's resolved.

  • majesticAsFk - yes iOS performance is representative. For Android, if you use the "debug" tab and your device tethered, you will be able to test your app in Cross Walk

  • New Projects need to be Cordova. When importing, you need to speficy Cordova.

Sorry for the confusion. I know with each release, they are changing the whole project management part. I understand it is frustrating to have to figure it out.

  • ex32 - Crosswalk only supports Android 4+ and up. It does not work on Gingerbread.

  • bscarl88 - I'll see if I can get another device to test on.

Furdy - Which device/OS version are you seeing poor performance on? Which version of Crosswalk are you using?

  • bscarl88 - I'm testing on a Galaxy S3 and the app crashes right when I click "play"

This would be an awesome addition to C2. The great thing about this API is that is provides an easy, cloud based game save solution that allows players to continue progress across multiple devices and OS environments. It would also be a great backup to Webstorage, which hasn't always been flawless (as can attest). Also, these save files are stored in a special section of the player's Gdrive, and cannot be tampered with.

It would be doubly amazing if XDK could support this ( imaffett ), as this sort of device-agnostic feature would be very much in-line with the concept of 'deploy anywhere, use anywhere'.

Would anyone else be interested in this?

Let me look into this. iOS is the tricky part to make it "cross platform". I also maintain a cordova plugin for Android and would add it there. I can see the value for Android right off the bat.

  • I tested on a Galaxy S3 using the Debug tab (based off Crosswalk) and I could see the input boxes fine. Any one else seeing this issue? can you provide the device and OS?

  • Thanks for the CAPX file. I will test this in the XDK/Crosswalk today.

  • bscarl88 Can you post your APK somewhere so we can test it? I'm trying to find one's that dropped in performance and send them to the Crosswalk team.

And Crosswalk 10 should be used.
