  • One thing I would change is how often you update the text3 field. I notice on mobile devices there is a considerable slow down if I update a text field every tick which is what your code shows its doing. I would instead suggest to update the text field every 1 second or so to help performance. also I believe set position on the green sprite is also more cpu consuming than just simulating pressing left/right. Same goes for the black sprite/camera... I would look into a plugin called "moveto" (created by rexrainbow) to move it across the screen... Based on the the code you've shown i would change those things first and try again

Thanks for the input, gonna post the result soon

Change the text score to update every 1 sec, the performance seems a little better now

  • LoL if its easy, then why no one is there to explain how can i do this..

there are one thing can be possible from two

    1. no one is expert like people are on gamesalad.

    2. construct2 is not advance as gamesalad.

I also want to use construct2 if it is familiar with all kind of features like gamesalad can do. because gamesalad is mush expensive.

Strange to see how you are whining and still wanting someone to explain it

It's pretty easy though, use object scale to simulate "being thrown away" effect, also you need to calculate distance etc

  • bump again!

  • bump, it's still horribly laggy

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • > Oh, i'm at that point too. I only can see the Welcome to MoPub banner :1... its been like that for like a week or so.

    > But i get the marketplace message. Oó

In this case no ads will be shown until you've been reviewed. Give them some time. They will respone. Takes about 1-2 Weeks on my side.

Mine is not reviewed yet, but the ads showed up

Btw, can you make tut how to use Google Play Service on Ludei's cocoon js?

  • So here is my event and layout

    Explanation :

    1. The black sprite is the "camera" which whenever I touch left/right side of the screen, this sprite will move and it has scroll to behaviour also set to invisible

    2. The Green boxy sprite is the character which must be chased by the screen, this sprite will move automatically

Now the question is, this thing works well on HTML5 preview using Chrome, Opera and FF but when converted to Android via Ludei CocoonJS, it's laggy and the auto movement is not working well, sometimes it stucks on the platform

    Any suggestion? Thanks in advance

Just saw your commet at my tutorial <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /> I try to help you out. Have you noted these two points?

    • Use the compiler version 1.4.7 in order to use AdMob. I don't know why, but if I compiled it with 2.0.0 AdMob ads didn't show up.
    • Don't minify the javascript if you export your project to CocoonJS. On my end the game crashed.

Or have you this message on your marketpalce tab?

And sometimes it takes a while till the ads are be showed. Keep me posted!

Ah, forgot to post it here

    Your tut works perfectly AndreasR

First attempt, there is an error, my mistake in copying the pub-id

The second one and it works flawlessly

    Kudos to you pal for creating such wonderful tutorial , thanks ! <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" />

  • Yes, there no way to delete them in one click.

You just need the sprite plugin to add the images to one sprite, see the capx for example.

Btw, I still don't get it

  • I think it has to do with cocoonjs version. 2.00 do not work, you need 1.4.7 or sth like that. Search the forums, there are tons of posts about this subject.

I read somewhere in this forum the same thing too, gonna try it soon

    thanks

    Thanks!

  • Anyone make progress with this? I need to support game center and google play services ASAP for my client..

    thanks,

    Mike

Nothing so far, I'm gonna try to contact both ludei and scirra

    Hope there is solution

  • You need to delete it one by one.

If you have many background and graphics sprites, you can add all the images in one sprite and make the animation speed to 0 , then change the frames as you like.

This better than using 50 sprites as background and graphics.

Oh, so there is no way to delete it automaticaly

How to add them into 1 sprite? Using 3rd party image editor like PS or FW right?

  • Imagine this, when I push start game, I go to layout X and it's almost suddenly which make it not like usual game which show you a loading bar

How to do such thing since it's almost load up instantly?

  • I've seen that tut, it helps a lot but it's not what I'm looking for

Hope someone can help since the plugin is still new, it's about 2 months old I think
