  • you can already do that on C2 so i think that yes, its possible.

  • i am currently working on an adventure game using Construct 2, you can use c2 for everything you imagine in 2D basically

  • Hello everyone! i am working on an psychological thriller - drama adventure game called INNER.

    new website: vortechstudios.com

the game is based on a dystopian future where everyone is an excessive consumers of the media controlled by different advertisement companies, you are in the role of the protagonist who works predicting the stock market and selling that information to different companies on the black market, one day someone knocks at your door, from that part the plot start.

the game uses a open world exploration mechanic that lets the player have unique experiences everytime and everyone will face a different story depending on their actions.

more info about the project soon...

    check us on facebook! https://www.facebook.com/INNERgameofficial

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • true, what do you think if you can click on more than 1 behaivor? so you can display as many as you want, it will be like a hide/show thing made more visual. my point with that idea was just to make clear that the properties bar is a mess and its really really hard to find stuff there.

  • I like the + buttons, but I don't think that the opening window for adding variables/behaviors should be implemented into the properties tab. Of if the behavior list in your image is for displaying only the currently selected one's options, then I'd say I like to see all the options before me. It would only be useful for people with smaller screens (could be an option in the settings).

its just displaying the ones the object have, in the example platform is selected so it just shows the platform properties that the object have.

  • hello everyone here i will be posting all the UI improvements that i think Construct 3 needs.

    • properties bar:

too messy, all looks the same, cant tell what is what (and as someone with dyslexia i totally hate it!!)

and normally tooks a while to even find a propertie that you want to edit on a behaivor, here is a solution :

i invite everyone to post their improvements to the C2 ui so we can have a better workplace in C3.

    • layout size:

this is just a new feature i was thinking about, its a small corner that when dragging will let you change the layout size, sometimes when you are making a world

for a lets say a platform game you dont know for sure how big its gonna be and you have to keep changing 100 pixels less, 100 pixels more, with this we could do that quickly with just dragging it.

  • thanks!! i was thinking if it was possible to change the way it does that to something like the item name instead, because we wont be able to spawn a 3d object if is using uids (for example making a earth globe appear on an educational project) that way we can just have an sprite called "3d_object" and just spawn it and load a model.

btw i was wondering if you could create an entire new treath on the c2 forum for your new creation, so people can find it.

  • how can i apply this to another capx if the code just affect the sprite with uid 0 ?

  • if its possible to rotate the object from its point of origin, when i rotate the object, all the axis rotate and for example when im going to rotate to one direction its move to another, like, to just rotate the 3d model and not the entire model with the axis.

  • all those things you are listing are easy to do in Construct 2.

here is how you can do gestures (important to check the last page of that post)

using that plugin you can create your own stroke gestures but if you want simple stuff like "swipe right" you can do that by yourself with the events, just need a variable that reads the firts position of the touch.x/touch.y and the last position, compare those 4 values and done.

c2 also have a pinch to zoom example capx in it.

  • R0J0hound all i can do its to rotate the world, i was wondering if there was a way to just rotate the 3d object instead? like in this example: http://learningwebgl.com/blog/?p=1253

  • yeah but how will it look?

[quote:1vyrknbd]Rotating objects has been changed. Construct 2 used a small rotate handle that could be fiddly to use. In Construct 3 you can rotate an object by dragging the mouse just outside any of the eight resize points.

what will happend if i change the point of origin???

  • it is actually pretty easy to use but some new users may need a guide,

atm im making a panning system so we can rotate the 3d objects on a more natural way.

  • Here's an updated capx with obj file loading.

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/dbehcd1aestt0 ... .capx?dl=0

The obj files need to have triangulated faces, and uvs and normals in them as well. The texture files also should be flipped vertically.

    Edit:

Another slight update: it can update the textures of tiledbg and particles as well as sprites now.

pure gold, you are amazing!!! this is really really REALLY helpful, THANKS!! Ashley look at this!
