  • I liked the game, and for one reason find this may be the best (and worst) golf game I have ever played. Including the big boy golf.

In professional golf packages they all seem to follow the same formula where you click to stat the swing, click for power, and click for accuracy. This is very ungolf-like as it does not feel like real golf where you have more of an organic of felling to your shot. Not the mechanical approach of of the professional packages.

Your game excels in that it bring back the organic feeling where you assess the distance to a dynamic pull and release.   The main problem with your approach is that the draw power and aim is so small that you need meticulous positioning to get the shot. I would like to see a longer draw with maybe 5 colors to you make the shot. Perhaps even with the draw and aim in a side window?

All in all I liked your game finding a real gold like experience and would like to see it developed to possibly.

    Suggestions:

    * Changing the format to multiple hits like real golf

    * Kill the 3 stroke limit and score the final game.

    * add a separate window or larger drag and pull

    Other thoughts:

I would like to see a golf game where the direction and speed of the mouse determined the direction and power of the club hitting the ball.

  • Thanks for the tip Wink

  • I prefer using Mozilla for my default browser, but C2 projects seems to run better in Chrome. Is there any way to have C2 run in Chrome while I still have Mozilla as my default?

  • Is there a way to outline and color the inside of a text object so you can create a speech bubble?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Then folks like lucid, newt, deadeye, and R0J0 deserve goddamn "Bad Dudes" badges for all the stuff they've done around here.

    ;p

    Agreed!

  • Is this something other than they have already done?

Maybe I am missing a part of the discussion but if you click on your name you will see that you already have the Early Adopter badge (it's also affixed to your avatar).

I finally bought today, but there must have been a lag in getting that badge. Hence the suggestion. :-)

Either way the badge concept here is fantastic and I would like to see more of them, like for making tutorials, or helping others.

    Tutorial: Helper, Teacher, Professor, etc

Demo Creator: Sand box, builder, Architect, etc

They may really get the community helping

  • Love the badges idea

...but what about adding "Early Adopter" since that will go away someday and may spur on some people to buy as a rare badge?

  • Thank you for the quick response.

    Ordering now

  • What will Construct 3 have that Construct 2 does not?

    Expected release of C3?

Oh and I forgot Can I load a bought C2 on my home PC and Laptop for travel since I can only use 1 at a time?

    Thank you

  • If purchasing the Early Adopter now will it be lifetime, yearly, or till version x.xx is released?

Also Will the .exe export be an additional fee or included?

    Finally about Android

a - is there any idea about a release year and quarter?

b - will there be a up-charge if so can you give a ball park price?

c - can you add an export for Nook Color and Kindle Fire?

  • I have blender sitting on hard drive from 8 months - and i still havent figured how to texture a damn model

Texturing is not that hard in Blender. Most people complain about the interface and once you get used to it the interface is fast, much faster to navigate than the $$$ packages.

Also how does Unity fit in to this equation. I have never used it but heard that have a free version.

  • Why do you like this better than Blender (which is also free)?

Never heard of Scluptris but it look like a sub-set of zbrush which has high marks. is Scluptris under powdered compared to zbursh?

  • Looking to budget for future expenses. Has C2 deiced on pricing?

Will it include an Android exporter? If not what is the cost of that?

    Thanks

  • So you guess it's okay? Something feels completely wrong with this. What testers are doing for you does a lot more for you than it does for them. They mess around with an unfinished product, while it helps you make money.

I could not agree more and am getting a very bad feeling about Construct 2. I have no problem with buying finished software and was think this might be one worth purchasing, but some things are starting to feel very controlled:

Like yearly licensing, alpha timed releases, and pay schedules for alpha versions (not even beta).

With so may free finished languages out there I am afraid all this talk will scare away the base that is already formed.

Even so pricing seems high at this early stage, There is a lot of bashing here about Game Maker, but they make a lot of money. $25 per version and free updates as quite attractive.

I would sincerely look at your business model again. But with all this talk about pay to test I am thinking about dropping back to C1 and other game creation software.

Best of luck with your endveor on C2!

I think the test builds should not be for commercial use - testing purposes only. I think it's fair if you sell a game, you buy a license first.

    I totally agree!

But you need to respect the testers too. Charging at this point makes Construct2 look greedy. Especially for non commercial projects. Many of us will never sell a single program we make then for fun.

  • Nice to see someone is still supporting flash after all the pounding that Apple is giving it.

Flash is still very cool in my book.
