  • Hey again, thank you for reading this.

This is getting so irritating, in C2 i could simply click a sprite, then click 'import frames' and choose a GIF to import every single frame.

In C3 it only imports the first frame. I have searched for hours now and i cant find a solution that works, WHY would one change this from C2 when it was simple and perfect?

Anyway, anyone knows how to import a gif and get all frames instead of just the first frame?

    Thanks

  • Thanks alot for the answer! ^_^

I solved the error though - if you open the game through a link on facebook then this doesnt work.

Instead the link must be copied and pasted in chrome for it to actually work which doesnt seem that good.

I am creating an offline project that has nothing to do with the internet, i am not sure if this browser thing works for that.. This doesnt alltogether feel serious or good for a developer honestly :/

Ok I have found the answer:

You have to request full-screen, and then lock the orientation to landscape

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • You need to go to the project properties and set "Orientations" to Landscape, this will make it so that the project can only be viewed in landscape mode. If you want to lock the current orientation then you can tell the browser to lock it

Hey there! Thank you for your time! ^_^

I have set it to ''landscape'' but it still doesn't show sideways view on phone. It just simply shows upright.

  • Hey there! Thanks for the reply, but where do i set it to browser object??

  • Uhm.. Nobody knows?? O.o

  • Hey there! ^_^

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I just got C3 today and have earlier used C2.

In C2 whenever i viewed my game on the phone, it would automatically tilt to the side so i could view it properly full screen. But now on C3 the game stays upright horizontal, so half the game is shown on the half top side of the phone, it doesnt tilt anymore.

I have tried all kinds of scaling, changing to landscape etc, it doesnt work.

The game shows up in a horizontal view. I want it to show up ''sideways'' so to speak so i can hold the phone and play with both hands.

    How can this be done?

    Thanks in advance

  • I think what you are looking for is "Simulate control" action.

Add action -> Hero -> Platform -> Simulate control

    8-direction behavior also has it.

Close. Simulate control only has left, right and jump. There is no DOWN/Duck. :/

  • I still don't understand. You want to automatically trigger "Keyboard on key pressed" event, without the user actually pressing it? I don't think it's possible.

Maybe you can explain what are you trying to achieve?

Let's say, you have an event, when Hero overlaps Event 1 - Order keyboard-push Down Arrow. The system pushes the down arrow for the player.

  • > How can i force the player to push a button upon command?

    IDK, blackmail? :)

    See this demo:

Hah funny, but not like that! I want a command that makes the down arrow to trigger.

    For example;

''On Function Now!" - press down arrow.

  • Hey there! Hope ur having a nice day! ^_^

I want to force keyboard button DOWN on an event, such as ''call function''

How can i force the player to push a button upon command??

    Thanks alot!

    Have a wonderful day!

  • Mine runs at 165fps. Cause I have a 165hz monitor.

:O so C2 can run faster than 60 fps! How though? Every game i have runs at 140+ except C2. Is there some options to do this or?? Its stuck at 57 fps for now.

  • Hey there! ^_^

So im reading up on C3 and unity to decide what to buy. C3 is very interesting, but alot of people on the forums claims that unity has much better performance and that C3 has performance issues/limitations for big games?

Is this true? Or can C3 beat 60 fps? Or is it really limited to 60 fps only while unity can get over a 100 fps+ ?

    Thanks for any answer. ^_^

  • Hey there! Hehe ^_^

So! I can't get the space between each letter to be 1 pixel. No matter what! The 'I' for example will always look far apart from the rest of the letters.

Any fix for this? Hehe thanks!

    ^_^

  • Hey there!

So my question is, can C2 go over 60 FPS? Currently im locked to 60 fps only. Can i beat it?

  • If you are planning on applying logic based on each frame of animation then they will be one event but the if frame=1, if frame=2, if frame=3 will be sub events because you need to add your actions to it.

Frame 1 and 2 and 3 = same outcome. So instead of random 1-3 i want a definitely 1-3. Get it?
