  • LeuNoeleeste If it's not a big problem to you, in the future I'd like to read your opinions about the engines you've tried and experimented with.

  • Does it work when exporting into HTML5 and opening it with Chrome on Android?

  • I have a feeling though there wont be any new plugins, just a new sdk and the community will be expected to make their own.

I'm just speculating, but I think we can expect some new plugins. No screenshot showed the available object list yet, so I think that's a sign.

  • It looks really well-made. I added it to my wishlist so the next time I buy some games, I'll buy this one as well.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Using advanced level programming can help you reduce your event count (for ex. using expressions, functions), but you can't pass the 100 event limit without a license. I'd suggest you talk to your teacher about a take-home educational license: https://www.scirra.com/education

  • -Will Construct 3 have an official built in plugin manager, one that gets plugins from a repository and imports them to the game project in one click

I really hope so. Since the editor will run in the browser, and will have cloud services, it would be logical to include this functionality as well.

  • because f__k you old devoted users.

I get your point, but look at it from a different perspective: One who purchased Construct 2 long ago possibly didn't give Scirra any money since then. So it's understandable in my opinion to ask the old users to pay gain. I think a 50% discount for the first year is not a bad deal.

  • Well, you should find all the information you are looking for here: https://www.scirra.com/arcade/terms-and-conditions

But since the Arcade has caught a cold, that page won't load for me.

  • I know I probably should not ask this but… Why are attachments completely out of scirra's ecosystem for such a long time? It was useful to have content linked with the forum as we all know content hosted elsewhere can end up being deleted or moved and result in a 404 error years or months later.

I also vouch on the attachments' side. I usually run into dead links and those are very frustrating. Especially for plugins/effects. Even if we won't have the option to attach files to our posts, I'd like to know the reason behind the decision.

  • It does it again. The forum seems to be more stable (however it just logged me out before submitting a reply), but the website logs me out almost every page visit. Sometimes while the website logs me out, the forum doesn't, but I couldn't find a pattern, it just seems random.

And I'm careful not to open the website on multiple devices at the same time, since that was the cause of similar issues before (months ago).

  • NN81 Welcome to Construct 2.

  • I heard that sometimes it takes a little while to get your e-mail and your forum badge.

  • If we did go completely out of business, shut the doors, and we all went and got other jobs and completely stopped selling Construct, Scirra is completely dissolved, at that point I don't see why we wouldn't give it away or open source it. I mean this event would currently appear to be highly unlikely.

I like the way Scirra thinks about this. It should reassure anyone who is worried about Scirra's death in the future. Let's hope it never comes to that.

I'll have to try that sometime.

Magically make a living by making my code open source.

Lol. You just made my day.
