  • Simo I'm able to save the actual level... but I'm not sure on how to set it up for those levels to appear correctly. I can actually tell you on which level you are, but I believe we are missing the saving of each level passed in the local stored value.

  • Simo the problem is that you are asking for a SaveLevel key that you have not defined or saved. I'm still trying to figure it out, I'm new around arrays and webstorage, but based on one of the HighScore tutorials with Webstorage, I think that is the issue. You are calling a variable that you have not determined or saved.

Which one is the variable you are using for the ACTUAL level value and which one is for the NEXT level value? I only see Current Level.

  • Simo but I see that you are saving the game progress... if not, I would not be able to pass to the next stage. Is this being cleared when you re-start?

  • BluePhaze thanks, I will, we also have a tough deadline, so after that one I will arrange a nice tutorial :)

  • Simo can you explain a little bit the issue you are having? the capx look like it is working fine... So I do not understand which one is the issue. I'm looking into doing something similar, so I'm just starting research on this. Please explain in more detail the issue, and maybe I can try to figure it out too. :)

  • BluePhaze we released the first Worms Vs Bees Phone Edition before moving to desktop, the changes were more in the graphic side. We did not optimized anything besides the simple export from C2. That worked perfectly fine and another reason why we fall in loved with C2 ;)

I will let you know as soon as we port from Windows 8 PC to Windows Phone. I believe the issues will be graphics again (having a big background is not good and we are still figuring it out how to save memory, but for PC we are safe ;))

I will keep you inform if we find any issue or if we find a way to optimize anything, like keeping graphics and music "light".

I'm also thinking of writing my first tutorial in regards to SpriteFonts usage, I had a lot of issues trying to figure it out how to use them, even after reading the forum and everywhere else... so I'm thinking about a dummy approach. I learned so much through the forum and tutorials that I would love to give back... do you think it is worthy (there are tutorials, but I feel like they are not for beginners like me)?

Do you know how to use a Spritefont for multiple text? I have been using clones... but not sure is the most efficient way.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your feedback!!!!

  • robert Not for now, maybe in the future :)

  • mammolastan thanks for taking time to look into the review. In order to create a review in Windows 8 Store, you have to:

    • Download the game and install the game
    • If you did not navigate away from the store, as soon as the game is installed, you will see the option to review it below... I took a screenshot after installing it.

  • LittleStain thank you so much!!! It does work without having to follow the long set of steps I read in another forum. Thanks, this is so much simpler... I do feel dumb because I noticed is the same way than the one using TEXT (set text to "Socre " & Score) just replacing it for SpriteFont.

  • Hi,

First time I'm trying to use Sprite Font and I read the tutorial and manual (the manual is specific, but I would love to see an example).

I'm trying to set up a Score counter with a Sprite Font. I found a score example from 2011 in the (FAQ) How do I....

However, with all the updates in C2, I was wondering if there is an easy way to setup a score system with the Sprite Font+ Plugin. I was able to setup the correct PNG with the correct space, but I have not been able to understand how to use it dynamically to update the score every tick or every 0.1 second.

Also, why do I need to rewrite all the font, one by one if I'm using JSON and I already provided the width, and the order of the alphabet to use?

    Thanks!

  • congratulations on making it into Success Story Videos and also for a very complete game, including shop, achievements, etc.. :) wow...

  • hielo777 Thank you!!! I'm glad you like it. We also release Acorn Fever fully made in C2 you can download it here
