  • Hi!

Long time without visiting, so maybe you have already talked about this, but just in case:

    • I've seen Construct 3 is browser based. Does it means it works worse or has less features than Construct 2.
    • I've seen C2 users should have a discount on C3, but I get an error every time I try to log in construct.net. Maybe is cause I have spaces in my nick, but it works fine in scirra.com
    • C2 projects can be imported into C3?

    Thanks!

  • jatin1726 well, the layout size is bigger than the window size, so i just export with full screen mode: scale inner option (if i remember) on project settings. The camera is attached to the main character. It takes all the available area in the screen device to render the scene.

    Check this out: https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/73/supporting-multiple-screen-sizes

  • Key & Shield 2 desktop/mobile browser version is out! check the link in the opening post. Android version coming soon.

  • Tetriser Glad to hear you are willing to play also the second part! Actually it's aready finished and the mobile/desktop browser version will be released as soon as the publisher sets the date. Later we'll publish the Play Store version.

Thanks for the comments man, i specially like the non UI character management we use in this game, but yeah, it could take a little to get used to it, then it gets really smooth. As i said to Tetriser, Key & Shield 2 mobile/desktop browser version should be out soon .

  • sivricmarijan Flash/Photoshop

  • As Nomanis Crew is a paid promotional only game for our campaign on Twitch, i've removed it from the list. Now Key & Shield is playable completely free and with no ads also in Play Store. Enjoy it!

  • Thanks guys.

  • Ok, it's the same way with Intel XDK with its own app, right? but no way to test with phonegap?

  • Hi,

I'd like to publish on iOS, but the only device i have to test is an iPad4, i don't have an iphone.

1.- If performance is good when testing in the iPad means that it will also work properly in an iPhone?

2.- What's the best way to export for iOS, Phonegap or IntelXDK?

    Thanks!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Hi, i'm getting crazy with this...

I used time ago this guide to sign and align and .apk file to publish on Play Store: https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/861/how-to-sign-and-align-your-android-app-apk

It worked great, but now that Android Studio should be used instead of eclipse i can't find the environment variable that should be added to zipalign the app (should be on eclipse folder that seems to not be installed anymore...), so how you guys do this since Android Studio?

Or... there is another simple way to do this? it's crazy for me...

    Thanks!

  • So if i change a game from 640x360 with 20x20 tiles to for example 1280x720 with 40x40 tiles will have a similar performance?

  • Ok, got it. Thanks dude!

  • Hey guys,

If i have a platformer mainly with 20x20px tile size and characters around 30x30, what happens if i load for example 40x40px tiles and manually scale them to 20x20 so they have better definition? It affects game performance?

  • Hi guys,

I've spent all the evening reading all the posts related with Phonegap/IntelXDK/Ludei comparisons for Android. As all of this is changing every month i tried by myself all the options today and some of the results don't match with what is told in some posts.

All of the tests has been made using the cordova export that i assume is what i should use now (previously used CocoonJS but i'm up to use cordova).

    • Ludei. It's the smoother one, got some troubles loading the icons but works good.
    • Intel XDK. Smooth but i think not as good as Ludei's one.
    • Phonegap. It works really slow and sounds and music are not played.
    • As the Phonegap option seems to be the easier to use, is it normal that game runs soooo slow compared with the other options? and why the sounds trouble?
    • Why the recommended option is Intel XDK if Ludei works better? or is just my impression?

    Thanks!
