• AarongamerX - let us know how you go, I'm interested to know if you'll be able to get a 3D game going fairly easily with PM. I had a look at Unity a while ago, but got distracted by other stuff.

  • RexRainbow got one going properly with Heroku. There are some other guys around the place who have also got stuff going with node.js. I also saw a few months a go a working example by juanatar (sp?), which I was able to get going on my own LAN. It was still a bit buggy but it worked for the most part.

  • Merry Construct 2 Christmas Guys and a happy new year!

  • Velojet - Hey great to know there's another Kiwi C2 user! Are you part of the NZ Game Dev Assoc by any chance?

  • Hey dudes - eyehawk00

  • tchem, in my opinion you should keep it weird the way it is

In a video game market with millions of Marios and Sonics, I've never seen anything like this!

  • kappie7 - first of all, good on you for giving this a go!

My recommendation to you would be to break the project into achievable chunks. I'd even start with making just the single player game first (maybe with one playable area) and building it up from there.

It's also worth while for you to learn C2 yourself, as volunteers will come and go.

  • Wow, this is amazing! Definitely a very cool/weird artistic vibe to it. It's unique and imaginative - almost like a disturbing and surreal (platformer) dream

  • Hi Drew, just PM'ed you yesterday as requested.

  • Thanks tchem

  • thehen: Ah ok, so the exporter is still not quite there yet as is.

Great work - looking forward to the plugin!

  • Hi All,

Just curious if anyone has made a Win8 Phone Game yet, and what your experiences have been thus far?

I'm pretty keen to make one, although I probably need to get a Win8 phone first, and do some research on screen sizes, hardware specs, etc...

  • Hey Guys,

I can vouch for Tim, as he's done a bit of work for me on past projects.

He created the excellent cover art for Battleship Islands, as well as the UI assets for the level selection screen:

    Battleship Islands

He also put together the mobile icon for my Win8 game entry - Neon Galaxy:

    Neon Galaxy

Thirdly as he's mentioned above, we both worked as a team on Hippo Trip for the ISR:

p.s. I'll update the official link as soon as our game gets published in early Jan on the competition site.

  • Hi Drew,

I only just noticed this post now, but it looks interesting. Have you found yourself a C2 dev yet? I guess you must have sorted something out, as I have seen Super Ubi Land in one of your other posts.

Let me know if you're still looking for collaborators.

    Cheers,

    EH

  • Wow, just submitted release 8 for Battleship Islands about 2hrs ago, and it got certified already! That's super quick!
