  • Hey there, last few days I've been on and off working on procedural generation of the map for my wip game.

Simple "miner" generation and then several checks to make it look better are used. What do you say? Any tips as to how to easily add mountains, rivers etc? (I have several ideas, but looking forward to hearing yours).

so I've added mountains and figured out that midpoint displacement would be much better choice for generating map.

  • Wow, thanks a lot, I certainly did not know that webstorage would work even when exported. I've read somewhere that using software like ccleaner would clear saved webstorage.

Btw how hard is it to store large amounts of data (multiple large arrays etc.) with webstorage?

  • Hey there guys,

I would like to ask you if there is any way to make Save/Load system for game that is not even meant to be played in a browser. I only plan to export it using node-webkit and I can't seem to find a way to save game state to hdd.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,

  • Hey there,

I'm Elci and bought Personal edition through steam yesterday. Before that I was working on my lightweight roguelike/dungeon-crawler for some days. Now it is almost done, one of my best friends joined me as an artist(his art is amazing) and since our game is almost finished I wonder if there is an easy way to include iAds/leadbolt/other ad providers into the game.

I merely started learning javascript/html5 and I'm not sure how hard would it be to "just paste" their ad code into the game.

So any advice is welcome and my eternal gratitude is guaranteed.

    Thanks guys,

    Elci
