  • That's a really interesting looking style.

  • Done!

  • Please keep us posted on your progress..

  • Yes, please finish it! Even with the minimal content I was lured into playing for like 10 minutes.

You might want to look into your screen calibration. The "light blue" is actually a (rather cold but still) shade of green. So maybe your whitepoint is just way off.

  • bscarl88 if Xbox is your main target platform, XNA would surely be worth a look (even though it takes a lot more effort to get up and running than Construct2)

  • Since the badge display is also gone, I think this is a temporary state of primeval ooze until the new design is rolled out completely.

  • I've had this before, I could get it to correct itself by allowing both portrait and landscape and then flipping a few times back and forth.

Good for debugging, but not sure how to deal with that in a deployment scenario.

  • Just to be clear, this is a restriction of the Blackberry kit that Phonegap uses, the other builds run through just fine.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Hi constructeers,

I have hit this sticky wicket.. I try to export a game via the PhoneGap export option. The target platform is Blackberry (Blackberry7, handset).

A folder is created as expected. Upload to Build.phonegap, the blackberry compile throws an error, about illegal characters in filenames and/or directories. So the exporter creates spritesheets named $spritename-sheet0.png but [._-] etc are illegal characters, according to Phonegap, I assume this is what the error refers to (I already renamed the icon_128.png and edited config.xml accordingly, so thats not it).

How do you guys work around that?

  • I'd give Tom Hall $1 million any day of the week, if I had them.

  • I think this thread is totally underrated, some really great graphics here.

Scirra might want to advertise a bit more with those.

*Edit: For example, I was unaware of most of the Miniboss games. Those look so awesome, they should be right on the front page <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • "Add event" on the very bottom of the event sheet or right-click in an empty space somehwere and hit "add event" while making 100% sure that no other even is selected.

  • Are you sure you are adding an actual event and not a sub-event? The latter don't have collision conditions, only overlapping.

  • If you are targeting an audience who is willing to look at indie games, I don't think you need "3D" to be successful.

To my knowledge there is no real usable 3D-engine on the market with the ease of use anywhere near C2.

You have to consider that even with an engine like unity the time to set up your basic project mechanics without producing any real content can be as long as the complete timeframe to develop a C2 game.

I'm totally with GenkiGenga on this.
