  • the green for the czar-green theme isn't quite right; it either has a bit more yellow mixed in the overall colour or it had parts that would fade into a lighter green; it could also be a combination of both! the green is throwing me off, that's pretty much the only reason i'm not using that theme, sorry, deadeye =P

    Yeah, looking at it now I think you're right. Like I said in the other thread, all I really had to go on was Doppel's signature and my own (poor) memory. I think it did come out a little too olive. It's close, though. And I agree with Rich, the header is a little to dark and drab. I'll change that when I get around to it.

    And I'll see if I can find the old Czar Green theme for the previous board version and compare it. That's probably what I should have done in the first place... oh well

    And as far as the saturation goes on the header, I went off of Doppel's sig image to try to match up the color. I could bump up the saturation a bit and not make it so olive-colored if you need it.

  • Okay, I think I have everything done. All the images are changed, and all the orange colors in the .css have been changed to greens. I don't have any way to test it for real though, so I don't know if everything is covered, or if it even looks cohesive (I just kinda eyeballed stuff and went off of memory.) I did download a sample forum page though and was able to test the link colors, so I think that part at least looks okay.

    Anyway, here it is:

    It's the whole package .rared up, just like if you downloaded the install package for Czar Orange. Only it's green.

    I know the logo is different than the old one, but I don't really remember exactly how it looked.

    Once it's installed if there's anything that needs tweaking I'll go ahead and do it. It'll be easier to see what needs changing when everything is put together.

    Orange is up, you can change it in your profile settings. I'm working on green right now. About halfway done with the images. (There's a lot more than "about five images," Rich )

    I'm also tweaking the icons a bit to make more sense. For instance, this is the icon for "forum unread locked" in Czar Orange:

    It's totally arbitrary. You can't tell what it means at a glance. So I changed it to this in green:

    It's a little more obvious what it means that way.

  • Yep. I made some screen savers back when I first started using Construct.

    There isn't any real proper screen-saver support though, so the name will show up funny in your screen saver list, and you won't be able to make options. But it does work.

  • If you're willing to make this into a green style (about 5 images would need a recolouring) I'd like to upload that too it'd look pretty similar to the old one then, if people miss it.

    Okay, I'll give it a shot. The .css would need to be changed too though, there's orange highlighting when you hover over links. It's just a small change though.

  • It might be because his card supports PS3, whereas yours is skipping the effect entirely.

    But... there aren't any PS3 effects in Construct.

    I downloaded the latest driver thingy from vVidia, so I don't know. Hey, at least I can see it

    Demo A:

    640x480: ~30fps

    800x600: 15-20fps

    1024x768: 10-15fps

    Demo B is bugged for me If I change the screen size to 640x480 or 1024x768 then when I press Space the program freezes. I can only test 800x600, and it seems to run about the same speed as Demo A, 15-20fps.

    Ah, that's too bad. The pickings for 3.0.1 are slim. Well, I'll see what I can come up with.

    Actually, I just realized that the current style (Saphic) is 3.0.0 only, so it should be all right to use 3.0.0 themes, yeah?

  • I prefer this theme, but I think the forum can handle different themes and then users select the one they want.

    The problem is each theme needs a title logo for it, which I don't have nearly enough time to do. If you want a theme, and you can design the top logo, then post here and i'll upload it.

    Now that's a plan

    Is it limited to the 3.0.1 themes or can we do 3.0.0? I don't really know anything about pbpBB.

    I think that sounds great! And when you do, be soure to take away the plain white background! Do you have somewhere we can look at the old forum Ashley? I don't really remember exactly how it looked.

    Ew, really? That green next to that orangey-brown is icky. The plain Serenity is nice though, if a little plain.

    Edit: Huh, this stylesheet just straight cuts your images off if they're too big. Well, I guess that's better than table-breaking.

    Edit 2: Or I could tweak this scheme so it has better icons and more subtle coloring on thread posts. It's not a bad layout, and I like the green-and-gray overall.

    Anyway, after testing out the bumps (first priority of course ) I checked on the Platform behavior... looks like it's back to normal as far as movement goes. No more loss of momentum or wall stickiness.

    Just a heads up though, the gravity directions Up and Left don't work (but Right works like a charm). Also, when changing it via events it shows up as "Air control" instead of "Gravity direction."
