  • 12 inches? Wow.

Mine's only 4x5 inches. I guess it's not the size that counts, but how you use it lol . Mine's pretty basic with just pressure sensitivity.

Also, I just watched the Intuos video on the Wacom site and what the hell? It's pronounced "Wah-come?" I've been saying "Way-com" all this time. I've even heard people say "Whack-em" or "Whack-om." Damn.

So everybody not agreeing with your political views is an idiot? Wow.

I was making a joke. Well, okay, I was half-joking. But to offer up a serious response to your question:

Did you watch any of the McCain speeches where he talked to people? Or see any footage of interviews with attendees at his rallies? Quite a few literally believed that Obama was was a Muslim terrorist and was going to destroy the country. McCain had to stop people and say "No he's not, he's a good person, etc." Those people live in the red states in a much higher concentration than in the blue states.

It's also a fact that people living in the red states (ie, the South) are (on average) less educated than those in the blue states.

As for anecdotal evidence, I lived in Texas for a year, and yeah... just about everyone there is a goddamn moron. Sure, I met plenty of intelligent people with varying political views, but for the most part everyone was pretty stupid. And this was before 9/11. I'd hate to be there after with all the pseudo-patriotic "kill all Muslims" testosterone crap that followed. Stupid people are easy to scare with baseless accusations like "omg Obama is a Muslim terrist." If you have half a brain you can filter out the ******** from the facts and make a sound decision.

Does that make me sound elitist? Eh, oh well. I guess if you think making sweeping observations about the intelligence of certain groups of people is elitist then I can live with that.

I dont know about you. But Im scared shitless. I love Obama, I think he is exactly what America /the world needs right now. But Ill be amazed if he doesnt get shot.

I'm a little worried about that too. When he took the stage for his acceptance speech I was whispering to myself "don't get shot, don't get shot."

I guess it's some consolation that he is now the most protected person in America. The secret service has been at this a while, you'd have to think they know a little about what they're doing.

  • i hope you guys are using an SVN server. with ANY team project, an SVN server is very handy.

Well, it would be handy if the project was split into modules. If Construct supported external event sheets I could see how using version control would be nice. As it is though emailing the .cap back and forth is just about the most efficient way to do things.

  • Oh there are plenty of intelligent people in America. All those blue states on the map? That's where they all live.

Anything in red is somewhere you wouldn't even want to visit.

  • Yeah but Barack only got 52% of the popular vote, which has me a little worried about how he's going to be received as President.

Thank God for the Electoral College.

  • Yep, same here. When they called Ohio for Obama everyone was saying how McCain would have a tough time catching up. I was still somewhat skeptical, but then they called New Mexico and I knew then that it was over. They still hadn't called Washington, Oregon, California, or Hawaii but really... they don't ever need to. If any of those states had gone red I would have eaten my own face.

Just want to say "good job" to my fellow Americans

  • It's on the to-do list.

  • I speak French:

    FROMAGE LOL

    Okay, no I don't

  • I'd really like to see the ability for rotating layers to also effect the collision mask of the layers. It'd be sweet as hell to let the stage be able to rotate around the player, Super Castlevania style!

What? Does it not do that? Because I'm working on a rotating maze game that works just fine.

  • :P I'm just happy I don't have to annoy the hell out of you about this anymore. Thanks for your advice and patience through all my bitching and long winded posts.

Does this mean no more walls of text between you and Ashley any more? This is truly the end of an era

Glad to see you have come to a resolution though

  • Thanks for the kind words, guys I'll do my best to finish. I'm a bit hung-over today after last night's Halloween party, but I think I feel productive enough to get something done.

Just... WTF was that at the ending?

    LOL.

That's Hideous' avatar on TIGSource (the same Hideous that posts here sometimes). H.P. Lovecraft used the word "hideous" a whole lot; it appears a total of 20 times in the Commonplace Book, so naturally it's been made a joke in the compo forum

Anyway, here's the real uninvited guest:

I'm not very happy with the dialogue box color for the creepy dead guy though. It's probably going to be changed.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • This game is going to be very shiny when it's done... I'll be very surprised if you don't win or at least place in the top 3.

    I'm trying

Right now my game is trouncing the competition as far thread views and number of posts, so I know there is at least some interest in it . There are a few pretty slick looking games being entered though, so I doubt I'll actually win. But yeah, I think it might do okay.

  • Restart level = "r"

What... I thought I hit "r" like five hundred times )

Anyway, good to know. I'll give it another go sometime.

  • Not a bad little puzzle game.

One problem though: I got a few levels in and then I accidentally put my two blocks on top of each other. Once you do that there doesn't seem to be any way to separate them. Perhaps you could put in a control to restart the current level?
