  • Forum still won't remember my login, which is kinda annoying as it is a pretty basic feature I would have thought. Any fix on the horizon? Is there a work around we can use?

  • 42/7 is sihks but not seeks - don't ask this question in Australia.

  • I would consider buying "templates" - I have too many ideas, not enough time. I am primarily interested in making education software but I like to include mini-games or game levels within the design. If a template saved me a bunch of work then that would be interesting. I think the main problems are

    1. how well is it written, can I extend and incorporate the code into my own project?

    2. are there any game concepts available that take my fancy?

To be honest thinking about it while writing, I come to the conclusion that there would be a tiny market for templates - there would be a much larger market for coming up with custom templates. - i.e., writing to order. For example, I am quite keen for example, to include a jetpack joyride like level in my next program. I will end up making it myself but if I found a starter capx then that could potentially save me a few days of work and maybe I could learn something from whoever wrote it, or they did some nifty thing that I hadn't though of. Anyway, I am just thinking out loud.

  • CraftedStudios I was keen to have a look but link is dead

  • ramones - thanks for putting up that snippet - saved me 20 minutes of frustration coming up with my hack version and I learned something at the same time

  • ok it is Wednesday now - any progress?

  • cheers Tom

  • Tom - is it possible to get the "stay logged in" feature fixed? At the moment I have to log in everytime.

  • Both my main computer no longer connect to scirra without requiring a login and password. I have deleted entries in saved passwords and relogged in ticking the remember me, however, the next time I try to connect I am logged out again and I need to manually log back in. Can this be fixed please, it is annoying to say the least.

  • Extra information.

This approach was working last year when we complied our game using on older version of Construct 2 - now we had to recompile to fix another issue with the latest Construct 2 and now it no longer works.

  • Try Construct 3

  • nice little demo - agree not isometric as the view is straight on

  • Wow. It is rare to see such a wonderful collection of artwork and it is available to use. It certainly makes building new game ideas more pleasant when it is instantly visually attractive.

  • Cheers - nice examples, thanks for sharing

  • I was hoping the example would be a prototype game - in the same way the that RTS and turret examples are. You can use those samples and see how they could be used and you can add to them to quickly have a go at building a an actual playable level.

  • I was quite excited to see the new v152 out and that it would include example capx using the new tilemap feature.

I was surprised to find that the tilemap capx does nothing but display a tilemap. wow!

The c2 sample code is usually pretty good, but this sample is lame and does nothing substantial at all.

Are there any useful tilemap examples available? something semi-useful? I would like to understand how tilemap could be used in a project.
