  • if you look at the image, I have it set to whenever I pick up a fireball powerup, the instance variable will change to "enabled" and activate the group that lets me throw the fireballs. But at the moment it's disabled and when i go to test the map, i'm still able to throw them despite the variable clearly saying, "disabled".

    I don't understand what's going on. Help me, please?

  • The first pipe is fine, I get the guy to stop so the player can choose which way they want to go. But the second one in the picture, everytime i press down, he goes right.

    I have it set so you can press R to reset the layout. but when that happens all the sounds and particles play at once. So i hope you can find a fix for that.

    Edit: I think i solved it actually. I had it so when an explosion was created, a sound played. So i got rid of that and put the sound on when the enemy was destroyed instead and the sounds didn't play all at once anymore.

    but maybe you can find other problems i'm overlooking. good luck :)

  • unfortunately i'm using r178 so i dont know if you can load it if youre using a newer version

  • So whenever I restart the layout with the R button or when i transition from one level to the other, all the sounds play at once when I don't even do anything. It doesn't repeat, it's just once and done.

    Is there anyway to keep that from happening?

  • What I'm trying to do is make the character activate its flying when the jump button is pressed again in midair. The player will slowly descend to the ground unless the jump button is pressed again and again. But then I'd like the player to be forced to land after about 5 seconds of flying to simulate being exhausted.

  • My construct 2 has this problem: Whenever I try to move around the editor, nothing moves. The scroll bar moves, but nothing else. but sometimes if I click inside the editor, it'll show that it did move. Can anyone help me with this?

  • I have an intense need to make my own chiptune like music, but as soon as I get into the editor, I freeze up. Especially around the baselines. I just don't have that music theory smarts. Any tips?

  • I'm trying to use my new tileset, but when i go to add it as a tilemap, only half of it is shown. And i have the correct settings for it too.

  • I was watching some videos on level design, specifically super mario bros. I realized that you can't walk back to the start or backtrack, because the level doesn't scroll backwards. I want to try this but I don't know how. Does anyone have any idea what i'm talking about.

    I'm using a program called "Aseprite". It's a trial that won't let you save your work, but i found that you can copy and paste it into another program (like paint)

  • I'm trying to create my own 8bit looking sprites for the first time. I want some opinions on this one crab sprite i tried.
