  • Hello all,

    I'm working on making my 2D player have a duck/crouching ability. I have created two function the first one "when down key is down" and "PlayerMask is on floor". I do not know how to set the size for my PlayerMask without him phasing into the ground while attempting to duck. Plus the crouch animation tends to loop while holding the down key. I tried searching the forums as well to see if anyone has asked this question before (because embarrassing enough it seems so simple) but all I found was how to make crouching in Construct Classic only... Please Help.

    So I have a function in my platform game for the player to throw objects jumping the air by Pressing the "X" button to throw. (I feel like this is a very simple question) Is there a way that when my player throws an object while in the air the player freezes the air for a brief few seconds after the object is thrown then resume falling?

    Hello again, I do have one small question regarding throw engine. I have successful implement the engine into my game. However, I am having difficulties changing the direction of the laser gun. I would like to have the laser gun face the direction the player is facing.

    On the "Is Carrying" I tried adding a code like "laserGun Set angle to PlayerMask.Angel degrees". It sorta work but when you press the left button or facing left the laser gun flips upside down. Can this be fixed some how?

    Yea, I thought about using the hold button release to throw object feature in my game but the thing is I plan on making laser guns and cannons in my game as pick up objects. I don't want my player to constantly hold a button for long periods while trying to shoot (the shooting button being a separate button) It can be quite tedious at least in my standards.     I have my player pick up objects and throw them using the "X" button. I have the throw-able object behaviors set as the following. Physics, Pin and Bullet. Looking at some tutorials here on the Constuct 2 fourms I manage to make the player throw the objects. However of course, the throw and Pick up being set as the same button the Player instantly throws the object upon picking it up. Is there any way to set this as the same button like in games like Super Mario Bros. 2, Klonoa, Chip n dale for the NES? Or do I really need to make and alternative button for throwing?

    Understood and good know, instead in my game I would rather have the player to save their game progress onto their local hard drives instead of hosting a WebStroage on a web server if that is the function of WebStroage. If need be, If the Pod FileSaver plugin dose not work accurately in C2 then I will consider WebStorage if need be. Thank you Ashely!    <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Well, This is probably an obvious question but anyways. In C2 is there a way to export a game to Awesomium app on the desktop and have a save/load game feature? To save and load a game form the local hard drive instead of a web server?

    So, I have this throwing mechanic in my 2D side scrolling game where the player picks up (on collision with the lite purple square arrow on the side of the player with the "A" Key) and throws a bouncing ball-like face with an animation of the player throwing (with the "A" key again). I ask for some assistance in improving this. With the option of throwing up and down when holding or pressing one of up or down directional keys along with the "A" key. I'm running into errors doing this, Also I would like to give the player this ability while in the air except when the player throws in either direction the player freezes briefly in the air until the throw animation is finished. Anyone pleeeeeeeease help me...
