• Performance Test C, 640 x 480 res: My fps was all-over the place from 100 to 300.

    Performance Test C, 800 x 600 res: Same.

Performance Test C, 1024 x 768 res: It crashes when changing to that resolution.

The previous tests A and B, in all different resolutions was running on 70-75 fps.

  • Awesome update!

Is there a possibility that you'll add a "working-with-layers" function for the animation editor in the future, Ashley?

  • Is it not possible to upload it to sourceforge and then link to that one? Their links shouldn't change so much I believe.

[edit: What the?! Construct works again! ]

  • Just because of the hate votes I gave you 10 sympathy Excellents on softpedia.

    Dynamic IP is fun.

  • It doesn't start for you? If it doesn't now, it probably won't then.

t did start before, but ever since one of the older updates, it began crashing at start for me. It's not impossible to get something that was once broken fixed again.

  • I'll hold my rating til' 1.0 too. (hopefully Construct start up for me by then )

  • Did you add those start-up checks you were talking about? *reads list* Aw... guess not.

  • He.

    Ups.

  • I think she should complete Construct instead of changing everything now when we're so close to 1.0 release. I'm sure someone will make a 3D plugin for it later on.

  • Construct shows up now, but it's not responding and crashes after a while. A little improvement at least, not bad for a crazy idea.

  • Now I don't quite follow... Exporting an .exe? I can't even start Construct.

As far as I know I am the admin on this PC, it's the only account on it so I really hope I am.

  • ChrisY: What operating system are you on? Have you tried uninstalling and completely reinstalling?

I'm on Windows XP (updated with fixes, service packs etc.), I think I've mentioned this bug and my specs in a PM to you already.

I have tried removing and installing Construct (in fact I remove every update after trying it out so I save time before trying the next version.) but it still won't work.

edit: Ah my bad, it wasn't a PM it was posted on sourceforge. But it has been closed for some reason...

  • Now, it crashes even faster than before for me.

Before it actually loaded up some of the interface, now it won't even show anything of the application itself before giving me the Error Report of Doom.

  • If you have used an older version of Construct before, please ensure that you have ran the uninstall program. Please tell us if problems persist

Did this apply to my problem as well? I have done what you said but it's still same result. It goes for 0.8 and 0.82. I don't wanna mess with the registery though, so I won't try that solution.

  • Construct 0.8 doesn't even start up for me. Default windows error message. I should never have started updating Construct, it has gone downhill by every update for me.
