    With reference to the python tutorial by R0J0hound -

    "It's pretty simple from python, but it will require the ctypes library so you'll have to install python to get it to work"

    What does this mean, i know nothing about python, how do i install python and ctypes ?

  • Share or post your Beatbox music studio creations with other users

    Wanna start your own beatbox battle ?

    Method

    1,Create and save your masterpiece - for example "My beat"

    2,Goto the folder 'My saves' and look for "My beat.ini"

    3,Create a link, Boxdrop, send, post, email... the 'ini' file to another Beatbox studio user.

    4,They simply drop a copy of the 'ini' file into the "My saves" folder.

    5,Thats it, it will now play on their machine ! !

    Note: this will only work if their "snaps" folder containing the sample waves isnt messed about with.

    Most of the stuff that im hoping to include in the final release is in this one.

    The last version (Beatbox pro) had too much stuff disabled, so i have left most of the features working in this one.

    NEW

    Random groove \ pattern generator, with different 'seed' setting(Nightmare to implement)

    Tabs added for selecting the library list boxes.

    New interface and buttons.

    Loads of new Demo's

    Loads of new sound samples

    Restriction

    Saving is enabled but limited to 2 files (just delete or move them from the saves folder!)

    Multi loop play isnt working 100% so i disabled it.

    Make sure you read the help section because the sound box editing has changed.

    Oh..and the help isnt finished yet, but the basics are explained.

    Right i'm probably boring you to death now, so i'm going to bed.

    Why do list boxes always stay on top of everything else, and show up on a 'Fraps' capture ?

    Transparent window

    How do i make a game with a transparent window? Ive seen a couple of posts that mention python, but i cant get my head round it. Could somebody give me a step by step solution?

    Bone behavior

    Again, ive read posts about it, but i could do with a step by step?

    Please help before my brain melts.

    I use this method on my beatbox project.

    The first line activates the red line which moves fron left to right.

    When it collides a blue object, a sound is played.

    I only use one X2Auduio object (global)

    This cap allows you to create different size shapes by left or right clicking and dragging out......erm.....dont ask me why..........It might give somebody an idea for a game?

  • A simple 3D effect Alien or monster that only requires a couple of event lines.

    This has probably been done before, but i thought i would post it.

    Its a monster that looks abit 3D(ish) and it follows the player( in this case a basketball )

    Somebody might be able to use it.

    I added sound effects to make it a bit more interesting.

    After reading the feedback regarding Beatbox pro, ive binned it. well..... sort of!

    Any way, ive replaced with BEATBOX MUSIC STUDIO, which now features lots of new stuff

    (Randon pattern generation,Multi loop playback BLAH BLAH BLAH)

    hope i'm posting this on the right thread.

    i have a 4 Gig memory stick that contains all my consruct apps, games and graphics ect.

    It appeared to overheat the other day and now it is not recognised by my p.c.

    (the little green light still comes on)

    anyone know how to get stuff of it ?

    Damn! You must be the most prductive dev I've ever known

    Looks smart. Will it support pattern storing, so you can record a sequence and play it back?

    The current version wont, but i will see if i can add it?

    It should be possible if i can set up a way to record keystrokes or mouse clicks into an ini file.

    (Similar to the Beatbox music maker)
