  • I use the following path to play sounds-

    On button press(example)

    > XAudio2 Autoplay file > AppPath & "sounds\song1.ogg"

    The 'song1.ogg' file is located in 'sounds' folder.

    How easy is it to do? Do you know of any tutorials?

  • - Is there any way to make the background transparent? I wanted it because I put a transparent image as the background, then she has round edges transparent.

    - Take hits like the normal cursor and the mouse cursor to place another image?

    - Its place in the game that borders on how the character moves the border between the ends of the layout does not leave (with buttons)?

  • You have to set them up manually with events, and it all depends on the design of your game. It could get complicated depending on what you want. Something like "fence hop", for example, would require a variable which increments, for a sort of timeline. First, it would freeze the player movement, then it would detach the animation sprite, play the animation and possibly move it over the fence (timed with the animation), then snap the hitbox back to the animation sprite. Like I said, it's really specific and depends on the design of the game. Something like I just described would give a prince of persia (not the 3d one, the old one) type of feel. Maybe you just want the animation to play when the player actually just walks over the fence. In that case you would just set the animation when the hitbox is over the fence. Think about what you want, and try to implement it.

    Its an halflife style platform shooter. ( i might need help with animation sequences)

    i have posted a topic in 'help and support' section, with regards to 'animation order, but i will carry on with the 8 player animation for now.

    (i know im using halflife sprites! is this illegal?)

  • I'm working on a platform 1st person shooter, and need to asign 16 different animation to the player.

    The best example i can find is Deadeye's Platform School tutorial, but it doesn't have as many as sixteen.

    Does anybody know how to do this?

    This is a list of the animations for the player ( if possible a SWIMMING animation as well)

  • Python doesn't work too well in 0.99.62, you'll need a newer version since python support has gotten better in newer versions. You can install multiple versions of Construct at the same time, just install to different folders.

    I installed 099.96 and the cap runs ok.

    or Google 'free icon software'.

  • Found the problem.Winxp sux bigtime,It was a corrupt temp.exe file.Now it works,well sort of it's still going really slow when i try to use more sprites,Im at 100 sprites at the moment 32x32 size.It uses 48% cpu power and takes up 98 megs of system ram.My cpu aint slow either its an intel i7 cpu.Ive got 8gigs of system ram and my card has 4GB on board memory.Seems like overkill ,but it's standard if you want to create udk games and mods.

    If i only knew why the program goes into snail mode when i use a mere 100 sprites,The previous versions didn't have these probs.

    Why is c.p.u it at 48% ? 100 sprites doesnt sound alot !

    If you build and release a game and the user's P.C is is well below your P.C'S spec wont it

    just crash their machine.

    Im still using 99.62 and it never crashes or has speed issues. I am going to have to try 99.96

    beacause 99.62 wont load the window transparency caps that have beeb posted.(Python)
