Hi guys

hope i'm posting this on the right thread.

i have a 4 Gig memory stick that contains all my consruct apps, games and graphics ect.

It appeared to overheat the other day and now it is not recognised by my p.c.

(the little green light still comes on)

anyone know how to get stuff of it ?

Try it on another pc. If that doesn't work, google time.

I know how horrible it is when data storage devices die on you, but there's no need for the all-caps title

What model is it? You may need to pay for data recovery, I'm afraid. Like Davo said, try it in another computer, and google everything related you can think of.

Please tell me you make frequent backups to different devices.

Do you have win7 or winxp.My usb drive had the same prob on winxp.Turned out it was the usb hub on the motherboard that was switching off randomly.Try switching the usb root hub to be permanently on in power management on device settings.

I Googled time, but there was nothing about any drinking.

There was some on flash drive recovery.
