  • Sorry I have not gotten back to some of you yet. I'm currently overseas so my internet time and connection is in consistent. Id like to thank everyone for your interest so far and I'm looking forward to developing a team with you.

  • To anyone who is interested. could you please email any personal websites so I can have a better of who you are and I can share it with the others interested. my is chadnon85imx@gmail

  • Travis: Still looking Travis, Ive had more questions than people interested.

  • bladesquad: I thought i said this is a provisos post but maybe i over looked it. Im active duty Military(8 years) as a logistics specialist, which means i work with people, planing, finance and other things. Iam new to Construct 2 (currently working on a project) and working towards a BA in Game development and Interactive Media. If enough people came together could have the possibility of multiple teams. Pros and amateurs working on different projects but working with each other as a whole. Ill be helping with what i can with projects but id be putting myself more on the publishing side. Covering what fees i can, coordinating websites and kickstart for funding. Making sure on projects its a balance of work not one person doing all the work or on the other side some doing none. If in the end im not needed as part of the team, i would step away. id just be happy i was able to bring a team together.

  • jayderyu: I see your point, after reading your thoughts I understand and agree with you. I dont want to build a team that just takes over ideas and says "thanks for the idea, have a good day". IP should stay with the person who created the original idea, but how would it work if the holder of the IP left the team. Would sign rights/ownership to that game so the team/publisher doesnt have to pay to use the original idea? But this would probably be better to discuses on a case by case base with some kinda legal party involved.

  • As for the IP ownership. Id like it to be a partnership unless the designer will release rights to it. As I would be paying for publishing, website and other fees id own majority. Shared ownership of the IP would remain between me (under what ever name the team decides to go with) and the original designer. But only to the point as long as the original designer remained part of the development team. If they left the they would get the option to buy owning rights back to the game (which would be decided by the remaining members of the team). Thats just my idea for IP ownership but I dont have any incite or experience in the area.

  • My original idea was to bring a team together and from whiten the people who had an interest find a team lead then fill in other positions as the team came together. I own Hollyhellgames.com and from my previous post i wanted to publish under that name as I own it. I have no problem with the team(s) coming up with their own name as i have a few myself for the actually team name. If they decide they dont ant to be tied to holyhell thats fine ill keep that for my personal projects. Ill fund what i can when it come to websites and fees but ill also be counting on kickstart to help out. Im working on my own project and i assume that everyone else is too, im just trying to bring people together to share ideas and produce games as a team. This is new for me, as im in the military (8 years) as a logistic specialist (leading people, finance) but im working towards a BA in game development/interactive media. From my experiences working with different people it seems like people do better work when you have a good team around you with direction and a goal. I think as long as i can get a good team together I can help guide that team in a direction thats good for everyone involved.

  • Why not set up another forum page with local chapter heads. People from same areas link in under a chapter (state/region) and set up meets.

Im out of my area but home for me is Florida, id have no problem trying to bring people together for drinks and idea sessions.

Oh another thought, Chapter challenges. One idea is spread to everyone and see which Chapter comes up with the best end result of the idea. Send out trophies (T-Shirt) saying this chapter one what ever event.

  • Also have the name Shiny Squirrel.

  • Naughty dog sounds amateurish but its one of my favorite and has a major release series under it. As im trying to bring the team together it would be my team and any thing that's made by the team would be released HolyHell/(insertname). As for the religious aspect as I'am not they can take up what ever issues they wish. I thank you for your input

  • Looking for designers, artists, web designers, composers to come together under one name and become a game development team. Would like to have people to bring game ideas with them that they would like to purpose to the team. Work on projects from the ground up use independent funding with what ever assistance we can get from kickstarter.com and any other. Team lead to which ever game is decided upon is the person who had the base line idea. The first project is volunteer (if funding is available will be paid), if the project has a profit it will be pushed out to the team and any future projects will paid projects. Current website is HolyHellgames.com and HolyHell is the name I'd like to release the games under in association with which ever names you bring to the team. Any questions please email me at chadnon85acj@gmail.com looking forward to building a team.

  • Here are my issues.

    1) Want to start with out an AI behind me, tried changing around numbers but it cant get him gone with out losing the link to the player.

    2) As it is now i can pick pick up sprites, but they dont stay in line. Ive tried single/family commands in different sections but they just bunch and move past me. Id like a rope style movement which ive tried using the pin/rope commands but i may have moved past it to quickly and over complicated it.

    3) Smooth movement in line. ive tried different speeds but im not sure with the way my primary code is i can get a smooth moving line behind the player.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Here is what i have so far
