  • The next build will not be 139, it will be release 140.

  • I have to Second the ASUS G7X series. I have had the G73 for a few years and had another of their ROG series before that. LOVE it! Still rocks anything I throw at it.

  • Also of note, remember that IE does not support gamepad API at this point...

  • Try Construct 3

  • I believe thehen has a plugin which handles this for you.

  • retrodude I wouldn't say no worries. I worked at Microsoft for 6 years and saw plenty of cases where they cracked down on developers for infringing on the property (trademark and copyright) of other developers. Especially when it is in the same category, a game with a character from a well known game that has brought MS and the developer a lot of money like Minecraft. Note that they already took two of his apps down due to this...

And especially when you make money off of selling a game with another companies characters. He made $100 for each game he submitted...

Just saying, it isn't so hard to make your own generic characters. It is however very hard to defend yourself if you use someone elses. And if you don't belong to a corporation you have no business protection, they can sue you directly for your personal assets.

  • Aeip Hopefully they don't realize you made money off of apps that feature trademarked and copyrighted characters. While I understand that they were quickly put together, it would be very easy to make your own generic characters instead.

  • Also tag lucid in your post if you want him to see this when he is on here. He is the developer of Spriter, but your best bet is to go to brashmonkey.com and use the forums to report a bug.

  • I would say read the manual and the tutorials on embedding your game or exporting as HTML. It is covered pretty well.

  • Console is a whole different economy unto itself.

  • Here is some more info, Microsoft has confirmed some of it now:

    Xbox One Indie Self Publishing

  • I'll just drop this here and hope that it pans out. I also hope that since the Xbox One is running Windows 8 that it will also support HTML5/JS games. It would also hopefully push MS to support gamepad API in their HTML5/JS apps... Win/Win if it all comes to pass...

  • Also a very useful practice is to ask how something works before complaining about it as you will find that in 90% of cases it's a lack of understanding of the feature as opposed to broken functionality. Just saying, due diligence and a bit of research will yield faster results than complaints. Going back to the subject of this post, if you would have asked, someone indeed would have told you.

  • Read the manual. F5 to preview.

  • One thing to be aware of, if you are talking about CC (Construct Classic) it does not port to App stores or HTML5. CC is directX games saved as .exe.

  • Take a look at using spriter if you want to use multiple objects in one sprite and animate them.
