Alright, I'm sure I did something wrong here, but I'd like to figure it out. After completing the build I encounter this error when I try to boot it from Steam:

If I go to the local files and run the game it runs perfectly, so I could just be doing something wrong on the steam side. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

  • I too am interested in how you go about this.

Actually I am very interested in the dialogue and inventory system, as I want to start learning them in the near future.

  • So that's pretty cool eh? Thank you to everyone who voted, shared, gave feedback.

Time to get some serious work done, they say the last 10% is the longest portion.

  • Sure didn't, my mistake. I had entered in the bbcode wrong, sorry for wasting your time Tom and Ashley

And thanks for helping me out

  • Thanks Ashley

I mean in the description below the game, using bbcode. I posted a link to my game's steam greenlight page, and the link just redirected back to the game page. I experimented with this using my twitter page as well, and got the same result.

  • I recently posted a demo of my game onto the scirra arcade (which you can find here: https://www.scirra.com/arcade/action-ga ... -demo-3167)

I included a link to the game's steam greenlight page and it worked at first, but now it just keeps redirecting back to the arcade page. The arcade help page didn't say anything on url's (or anything really, it's just plain text with section titles) so I'm not sure if I was ever allowed to in the first place. Maybe Tom and Ashley know about this?

  • Minor update, the demo is now up on the scirra arcade, which you can play here: https://www.scirra.com/arcade/action-ga ... -demo-3167

  • Hey guys. I figured I'd post the trailer here as well. I'm actually pretty happy with how it came out.

Also, would like to let you all know that I've finally managed to get Blitz Breaker on Steam Greenlight! Which is pretty cool, and you can check it out here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =495206909

Feedback has been pretty positive overall, minus a few people who don't like the idea of mobile games (which is cool, I don't mind), so here's hoping the momentum continues. Cheers!

  • Thanks antares330

Yeah bclikesyou, some of the info I have is interesting, as if compares your stats to the current top 100, which is both encouraging and discouraging at the same time. I may go into more detail later but for now I'd like to focus on the trailer (yay!)

I figured I'd post the trailer here as well. I'm actually pretty happy with how it came out.

Sent out a buuuuuuuuuunch of emails yesterday, hoping a few will bite, but we'll see. Anyways that's all I got for now, will update again soon. Let me know what you think, and have a great weekend!

  • Well, day 1 on greenlight was pretty good overall actually. Feedback was generally very positive (minus a few negative comments based on the whole mobile game stigma) and if we look here:

We can see some progress was made. This is just less than a full day on greenlight, and the votes have been split right down the middle. I don't mind, it is beating the top 50 average in terms of vote percentage, so that's cool. I'm gonna do up some press emails and send them away to several websites, and some streamers may be picking up the demo in the near future.

In a few more days I'll update you guys again, thanks for the support. Cheers!

  • Hey guys! Long time no post, I'll show off some proper updates later but for now I thought I'd let you know that Blitz Breaker has somehow made it's way onto steam greenlight! I'll try to update a few times on it's progress (votes, comments, feedback, etc.) but as I just started I don't much info (there's been a couple crits for the fact that it's designed in portrait mode, but I'm not too worried about that)

If you want to vote you can here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =495206909

If you could vote and share, I'd super appreciate it. If not, it's all good. You guys all have a great day now. Cheers.

  • Oh sweet jesus, glad it wasn't something I did.

    Thanks bro.

  • Hey all,

So I've recently run into an issue with C2, and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's maybe a bug. First off, I'm running r213, and this is the only event I could think of that caused the issue, I may revert back to the current stable build.

Anyways, my issue is rather simply explained, after exporting my game to nw.js, I can't open it. Like, at all. I double click on the .exe and nothing pops up. If I open up the task manager however, I can see the process is apparently running, but nothing comes up.

What's weird is that preview mode works just fine, even if I run it from the same initial layout that the export does. I have yet to try any mobile exports, just checking to see if anyone else has had this issue before I start messing with things.

    Thanks everyone!

  • Got some even more wicked cabinet art done up by the wicked talented Nightmare Bruce http://nightmare-bruce.tumblr.com/

That brings the current count up to 3, I'll probably end up doing a more minimalist one to round it out and call it there.

In other news, if all goes well you can expect a new version of the demo within the next couple weeks. It will include the new cabinet art, some tweaks to the game (all minor). This should coincide with the launch of the green light campaign soon after (yaaaaaaaaay!)

Progress is going pretty well, lots of tweaking and level design, content wise it's probably roughly 75-80% done now? That sounds right.

Also have a few new heads done up, will probably show off a few in the near future. Cheers guys and have a great weekend!

  • Dude I was just wondering this myself, glad you were able to successfully test it, now I need to try it myself.

    Thank you for this!
